Recently had a simtek fitted so have a ecu with ecutek license allready paid for and has been mapped several times as mods increased
If ur looking to have a remap by any ecutek dealer u couuld save yourself the license fee.im after £195 inc free post and i have a brand new maf for sale comes with a guarantee £150 inc free post

you have to get the keys recoded,which then makes your own ecu no good as can only recode keys to one ecu at a time

are u sure my key works on a transponder near the steering column and still cuts the signal if u dont operate it within certain time frame..didnt know the keys have to be coded to the ecu thought they were coded to the alarm

no you dont, and why would you its the alarm you code the keys for not the ecu

Yes you do.

The ecu will not work unless coded for the immobiliser (or rather it is the other way around afaik). Easy job to get done though by a main dealer or ecutek dealer.

It also wont work with every newage - you need to be careful making these claims.

well the simtek i had fitted didnt need coding and everything works as before with the key ie the alarm/locking and the immobiliser
