Default MY98 Uk Turbo (classic) Gauging interest HOW MUCH???

I am considering selling my UK turbo just trying to get an idea of what to expect as to whether to sell it or not. To cut along story short my main reason for this is as of today its clutch started to slip under heavy acceleration. Driving normally its fine. Anyway after a few scary quotes i am trying to way up what its worth as it is. I bought the car in september and paid 3000 pound for it. It has lovely bodywork and a few aftermarket mods. The milege is 101000 miles but it has service history and i recentley serviced it. The car runs superb (apart from clutch slip) bags of power and a really sweet sounding engine. Engine has never smoked or used coolant or oil. Car is taxed till May 09 and MOT till April 09. Mods are as follows:

1. Full Blitz NUR spec R exhaust system cost 400 pound 4 months old
2. HKS SSQV blow off valve bought on the same day as the exhaust
3. H & S wide mouth downpipe used
4. Blitz Turbo timer
5. STi intercooler (classic)
6. Kenwood CD player

Thanks for looking

£3000.00 about right assuming the clutch was repaired and otherwise A1. I had my clutch fitted about 18 months ago for £320.00. Can't remember if that was labour only or not..

At this time of year I would keep it mate especially with petrol prices coming down (credit crunch not helping & used car sales are bottomed out).

What scary quotes for the clutch have you been getting? A new stock one supplied & fitted shouldn't cost more than £350. There are quite a few recommended guys on here that will give you sensible quotes.

Had a quote off prosport of 750 for clutch and flywheel fitted. It hasnt slipped for a good few days now so i'll prob just run it rather than give it away!

Ah, that's why your quote is so high due to new flywheel included. No need - just get your current one skimmed.

Were you still looking to sell at all as I'm after a classic at the moment?
