All,
I have for sale my 1996 WRX STI V3 Estate in White, with 16" Gold STI alloys.
It is the perfect practical fast estate car. I have owned it since the summer but unfortunately, my girlfriend doesn't like it anywhere near as much as I do!
I spent a long time looking very a very good, unmessed about with example of this car as I had always wanted an STI after having a number of WRX's.
It is the the red-top closed deck block, which is the much more reliable and powerfull version of the 2ltr flat four boxer turbo engine, reported to be 280bhp. Being an STI, it benefits from the short shirt gearbox, 4 pot brakes, STI S/Steel exhaust (not too loud), Carbon Strut Brace at the front, etc etc.
My one was imported in Dec07 and has covered just over 167k kilometers, with part (recent) service history from here and Japan. MOT till 20/12/09 and TAX is until end of May 09. The speedo and Tacho are still in KM and the car is limited to 112mph. It is easy enough to get the car converted to MPH and de-limited if wished but I could not ever see the need to do so!!!
The car is completely standard, apart from uprated suspension (-30mm), factory fitted aero kit (side skirts and front lip), an Apexi Turbo boost gauge and a double din CD-DVD-TV multi media unit with remote.
Body condition is very good, no dinks or marks to note. It does have some scratches to the bottom of the lip spoilers front and rear where it looks as though it has scraped on kerbs. You can only really see them when lyning looking underneath.
The wheels are standard 16" STI alloys with Yokohama ZR rated 215/50/16's all with very good tread 5-6 mm.
The rear window, rear 3/4 window and rear passenger window has been professionally tinted with very dark tint, keeping it cool and secure.
The car is mechanically very good, I have always run it on 98 ron fuel and warm up and cool down the turbo. It pulls strongly (very) in all the gears, with no funny noises from the engine or drive train. The brakes are smooth and even and have lots of life left in the pads and disks.
All of the electrics work correctly, with the remote central locking, electric windows (x4), air conditioning, retracting wing mirrors all operating as they should.
The interior is perfect, the STI suede is unmarked and comfortable. I do own a big dog, hence having an estate car, but the car will be fully cleaned and hoovered before it goes and I will ensure that you will not know it travels in it.
If you do have any questions, please do get in touch and I will try to answer as best I can.
I have a load of photos for anyone interested and will post them this evening.
I'm looking for around £2750ono and only changing due to the above.
