Unhappy

I'm ultra unhappy to sell her but after being made redundant and being out of work for 4 months she's got to go.

Jan 1998 R plate UK 4 door saloon in Dark Green Mica
40000 miles
Full Subaru service history
Brand new MoT, until Jan 2003
Taxed until July 2002

ICE installed (you may or may not want this), I have all receipts and boxes still:

- Sony CDX-M600R head unit, 6 months old, warranty
- Phoenix Gold 2100 100w amp for front speakers, year old, no warranty
- Rockford Fosgate 160.2 amp, which is actually currently back at the shop being fixed 'cos it blew up!, 6 months old, warranty
- Infinity Kappa 65.3 6.5" components in doors, 4 months old, warranty
- Infinity 1020W 10" subwoofer in as-yet unclothed single vent seald bandpass box, box is 2 months old, made it myself. Sub I've had for a year, no warranty
- Rockford Fosgate 'power install kit' amp feeds, warranty
- Can also have the gold/brass power distribution block I haven't put in yet.

Totally standard except for a ScoobySport backbox, clear/crystal side/front indicators, EBC TurboGroove front disks with EBC Redstuff pads. Excellent condition, ashtray never used, never been on a track, never bounced off the rev limiter. Very reluctant sale. I'll put a picture up here later, don't have any with the plate blanked out right now. I have all the original parts I've changed plus receipts.

Bought for 14000 on 30th January 2001 from Concours Motor Company in Haslemere, Surrey. I'm the second owner.

Offers in the region of 10000 ono please.

Home: 01920 830073 (where I spend most of my time)
Mobile: 07808 298016

No timewasters or silly follow-ups please. I will be back with another when funds allow, of course

Cheers,
Steve.

Cheers mate, my eyes are too full of tears to see the keyboard! Oh, and the person that mailed me and offered me 7.5k - can't you read? I said 'no timewasters'.

I should add I'm willing to p/x as I'm still going to need a car, I'm thinking of a solid reliable Beetle or something else with a bit of character but I don't really want to spend more than a grand on it.

Hi Steve

I have a friend on the blower right now who might be interested in a P/X swap. He has the following:

BMX 318is Coupe, 1995 N Plate, Skirts, spoilers, front fogs. Bright Red colour, leccy sunroof and mirrors, FSH, lots of receipts.

He is thinking of a swap with his plus some cash. Let me know if you are interested in talking with him and I will give you his details.

Cheers mate

Possibly, how much did he want for it? I don't really want to spend too much as I need as much as I can in the bank.

Cheers,
Steve.

Steve,

If you don't get any takers right away and you can wait a couple of months I would seriously look at your car and give you a good price(cash)....I am getting a green scooby....also if you are interested I have a white cavalier V6 cesaro(auto) L reg that you could have for about 1500, or we could deal px. Its not as quick as the scoob but it can shift....

If you want a quick sale no problem and no harm done.

Morning Steve

I have had a quick chat with my friend, he is in the process of registering on the BB now.

Anyway, the upshot is, he has been offered 6.5k for his Beemer at a Subaru Dealer against a Terzo. He has said that he could go down to 6k for his car plus 4k cash.

Does that sound interesting or not. Let me know, he should be online on the BB later today anyway.

Cheers

Simon

Hey,

That's a bit expensive for me, I'm really looking for something around 1500-2000 for a reliable runaround.

Cheers,
Steve.

Right, I've had a massive response from Auto Trader and the calls are still coming in, I think it's going to be sold to one of the four people coming over tomorrow, two of them for the second time. I've done hardly anything but give test drives all week which isn't so bad, except **** me off more at having to sell. Seems I also got myself a decent job so I'm frantically trying to think of ways I can raise two grand so I don't have to sell her after all, but it's come just a week too late, which is bloody typical!! Guess I'll have to save for a P1 or facelift WRX or STi or or ...

Unhappy

Steve,

I'm very sorry to hear about you losing your job & the enforced disposal of your car - good luck with finding a sensible purchaser.

Very best of luck for rapid re-employment & an early return to the Scooby fold.

Cheers mate, I'll still be at the meets and stuff though, I'll just come with Jim/Chris/Sal whoever Stupid timing really, couldn't be any more annoying. Maybe I'll just tide myself over with an older import, who knows
