Hi. I'm selling my impreza wagon as unfortunatly the big end bearings have decided to fail and I just haven't got the spare funds to fix it. The car still runs but knocks very loudly and cannot be driven because of this.

The car is 1998 'R' reg and is a Mk1.5 as it has the mk2 dash and front end with the mk1 front bumper. It has 11 months MOT still but no tax. The turbo, gearbox and everything on this car is perfect just the big ends are no good. There is a laserline thatcham one alarm fitted. It has black 16" alloys and the tyres are nearly brand new. There are drilled and grooved front discs with brand new front pads. Inside the car it has the nice momo steering wheel with airbag, full electric windows, electric mirrors and central locking. There is a small tear on the drivers side seat bolster. It has a performance airfilter and full stainless exhaust with 5" tail pipe which is very loud. Also has decat pipe. The car has just had the cam belt done, oil and filter change and the spark plugs have also been done.

I think you will be lucky to get your asking price considering the problem with the engine. if you are hoping for that much id suggest breaking the car, you will certainly get more than you would by just selling it

spot on really ! i brought the same car ,same problem with coilovers and stainless system for alot less mate .

Ok. What do you think it would be worth then, bearing in mind I sold my old M reg impreza that had had the engine taken out and partly stripped for £1000.

have alook round mate i paid less than a grand for mine with nothing removed just a blown engine .
