Immaculate 1995 Version 2 Sti Type RA
Hi guys, i have for sale my immaculate 1995 Version 2 Subaru Impreza Sti Type RA. This is the fourth and by far the best RA i have owned, but unfortunately after only 2 months of ownership i have just found out i am going to be made redundant (after just finding out my other half is pregnant!!) and can not afford to keep it .
I bought this car in December from well known car importers SVA Imports (svaimports.com). The car is still covered by their 1 year warranty, and was sold as an immaculate, and as a standard example. The car was fully serviced, with new cambelt, 4 new tyres, all new fluids and filter etc, and came with a years MOT and 6 months road tax.
The car has covered only 99,200km's (61,000 miles)
This car is the version 2 so it has the shortest gearing of all RA's, meaning it tops out at only 120mph, but acceleration is fierce and 0-60 comes up in just 4.4 seconds. This is the most raw impreza you can buy, and it's not for novice drivers.
Like all Sti's, the EJ20 engine is blueprinted and comes with steel crank, forged pistons, big valves, water-spray intercooler, Sti re-mapped ECU, Fujitsubo sodium-filled manifold, stainless steel exhaust system and 8250rpm rev-limit. Also, being a pre-1996 RA model, the block is a closed deck item meaning it's stifer and has greater tuning potential than later open deck Sti's. It also comes with Sti uprated springs and dampers, Sti carbon strut brace, and Sti four pot front brakes and two pot rears.
RA (Race Altered) spec means it's the lightweight version intended to be taken straight out of the factory to be used in group N rallying. All version 2 RA's are white, and the weight loss comes from the ally bonnet, no side skirts, no electric windows, no air-con (although this one has factory fitted air con - it was an option), no underseal, less sound deadening, lightweight front arms and no radio. This means they are only 1170kg compared to 1200kg's for normal Sti's.
All RA's are distinguishable by their black door handles and mirrors, and the Sti RA's have the roof vent. Also, the Sti RA's came with the DCCD (Driver controlled centre differential) which allows the driver to adjust between default 65-35 rear to front torque split all the way up to 50-50 full lock for differing road conditions. The gearbox is a group N uni with extremely cose ratios and a low 3:9.1 final ratio meaning this car is manic and no motorway cruiser. There's also a viscous coupling front LSD an mechanical rear LSD as standard.
Apart from a Blitz Nur spec back box, a Greddy boost guage and Hardrace uprated Anti roll bar drop links, this car is totally standard, even down to the standard air box. The interior is mint and as it left the factory, with the Sti Nardi tourini steering wheel and Sti gearknob.
Externally the car is mint, there are two very small dents above the rear door handles on both sides, but they are very very small and barely noticeable. I have been quoted £100 by a trusted local bodyshop who carry out paintless dent removal, and they assured me you would never know thy are their once it's been done. Other than that the car is completely immaculate with no car park dings or scrathches in the paintwork. I searched long and hard for a mint standard example of one of these and i really don't think you will find a better one.
The underside of the car is immaculate also. It's not been undersealed, and has no arch liners, and the white paint underneath still looks like it did when it left the factory. the car is garaged and never driven in the wet, and when I wash her I also jet wash underneath the car to keep it mint. I wanted to keep this car as original as possible, because these will be future collectors items.
The interior is also mint and has never been smoked it, there's no rips in the seats and no scratches on any of the plastic.
The wheels are mint with no kerbing whatsoever, and the tyres are all brand new with less than 500 miles on them.
I urge anyone to come and have a look at the car to really appreciate the condition of it. It drives like a new car, the gearbox is slick and smooth and the car is quiet and very very quick. if you have never driven one of these before, you will be very suprised at just how fierce they are.
Any questions, please PM me or contact me on 07919975164. I'm located in Northampton.
I'm after £4000, no offers, which is an absolute steal for a car in this condition.
Many thanks,
Dan

If this was any colour other than white I'd have this in a second, but my track record with white cars isn't good (all written off!) and I'd hate to do that to such a great example.
Free bump and good luck with the sale, though I don't think you'll need it

Thanks guys, i really hope it goes to a member from here or a proper enthusiast. Classics, especially RA's, are getting very hard to find in this sort of condition and it would be great to know that it will be going to a home that would look after it and pamper it as i have done.

Just a quick note, judging by the speedo your clock is counting in miles now, but since it was imported only 2 months ago the mileage is fairly accurate anyway. Just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know to pass the info onto the new owner. The actual kms covered will be the 'mileage' on the MOT used for the registration.
Good luck with the sale, lovely example
