Just one question.

Why was the engine rebuilt and did it retain all of the original STI engine components?.

Id be interested in a picture if you could email one.

Do the STi4's have the MY98 spec dashboard, ala Forester?.

Engine rebuilt due to big-end bearing failure....
Rebuilt using Cosworth forged pistons (supposedly stronger than STi), STi rods and crank.

Not sure about the dashboard.

Have posted one crappy little pic - taking more on Monday, should get them posted then.

Hol,
not sure about the MY98 dash - assume it does as it's a MY98 car.
Describe the difference and I'll check!
when I get round to getting the digital camera from work I'll take a pic of the dash and send it to you.

Nick,

All I know is that the 98 cars had the dash from the Forester range of Subarus fitted with the white dials. This is the main visual difference to the 97 cars which just had the external face lift.

Dont suppose you'd take a PX of the wifes S Plate 2.0 Ghia Mondeo?.
Be like driving a boat!.

I wont keep you hanging on then, cars dont seem to be selling and I doubt if I sell that one in time to make up the £5k shortfall in cash for yours.

Hopefully there will be another STI4 when I do.

Hol,
no problem, this is the only place I've advertised my car so far, and it'll be a couple of weeks (I think) until the new one turns up, so it won't be going into Autotrader for a little while.
If you're still interested do you want to email me when you've sold your car?
