## SOLD ## Sensibly Modified MY01 Bugeye WRX (WR Blue)
# MY01 / '51 plate' Bugeye WRX (WR Blue) #
I am buying a Spec C from a fellow ScoobyNetter so am selling my WRX. I’ve owned the car for nearly 4 years and other than having to have the gearbox rebuilt a few months after I bought it, due to a known manufacturing defect in some of the gearboxes for this model/year, it’s never missed a beat.
I have had some good, sensible modifications done to the car but nothing too extreme and no boy-racer styling. All performance modifications and services for the past 3 years have been done by Powerstation, including the ECUTEK remaps (one before and one after decatting). All servicing prior to Powerstation was done by a Subaru main dealer.
When decatted and remapped it made 282bhp and ~282 lb/ft torque on Powerstation’s rolling road.
The fitment of the Eibach springs and laser alignment was also done by Powerstation. ACE Motorsport fitted the uprated discs and pads that I bought from an online specialist, although the discs may be nearing end-of-life and one has been warped since it was fitted.
The car has been extremely well looked after, it is garaged every night and I have had plenty of arguments with people in Tesco car parks for taking up two spaces (although even that hasn’t stopped a couple of recent door dings )
I’m asking for £5,000, which seems about the right ball park for the spec, condition, year and mileage.
- Full Service History (Subaru and Powerstation)
- Loads of history, including receipts for all work carried out
- Printouts verifying rolling road runs and wheel laser alignment
- Very good condition for year, no major marks or scratches. Usual stone chips and small scuff on rear bumper (~1 inch) from old lady parking her Focus (badly)
- 66,000 miles
- 3 owners including me
- Owed by me since May 2005 (~40,000 miles)
- Taxed and Mot’d until October 2009
- Aircon and electric windows
- Factory fitted alarm and immobiliser
- Well cared for car, always serviced on time or early and garaged at night
- All major mods carried out by specialists
- Since decat/remap, always run on V-Power (it was mapped on it)
- Never smoked in
- Unmarked interior
- Full gearbox rebuild carried out using uprated components (over original MY01/02 gearboxes) by Subaru in August 2005, due to known manufacturing defect
Performance Mods
- Full Scoobysport decat exhaust, with H&S wrapped up-pipe (fitted by Powerstation)
- ECUTEK remap 282bhp & 282lb/ft (Powerstation remap and RR – have graphs)
- Eibach Pro springs (fitted by Powerstation)
- Full geometry setup (by Powerstation – have print out)
- Grooved front discs (may need replacing before/during next service) and Pagid Black pads (fitted by ACE Motorsport)
- Walbro 255 uprated fuel pump
- Powerflex rear alloy drop links
- PSI3 Data Monitor (not included in the sale price)
Styling Mods
- Rota GRA 18” gunmetal alloys (one is kerbed but no damage to alloy, only to paint)
- Original ‘UK300’ Prodrive rear spoiler (WR Blue)
- WR1 colour-coded side skirts
- Colour-coded front grill
- JVC after market single-DIN stereo
- Momo alloy gear ****
- Original Subaru plastic boot liner
- WRX mats (possibly two sets if I can find the old set)
- Black alloy lightweight wheel nuts
- White side repeaters and reflectors
Bad bits
- Small scuff on rear bumper
- One of the front discs is warped. It’s been like it since I had them fitted but have never bothered to get them replaced as it’s only noticeable when they get hot (internet order so couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of getting them taken off and returning them to the company).
- Couple of door dings. I had all the dings taken out about 3 years ago but have been the victim of a few more since then.
Also included in sale (if wanted & I can find it all!)
- Complete original exhaust system
- Original low-level spoiler (although I may keep unless really wanted)
- Original springs
- Original 2x DIN stereo
- Original black side-skirts
- Original front grill
- Original gear ****
