Default Classic 99 Impreza Mica Blue For Sale PRICE REDUCED and new MOT!

UPDATE:

PRICE REDUCED TO £4950 ONO!

JUST WENT TO TAX THE CAR AND REALISED MOT'S RUN OUT!!

BOOKED IN TOMMOROW FOR A FRESH 12 MONTH MOT INCLUDED IN SALE.

A Truely regrettable sale of low owner/milage UK classic with a great spec:

Very low genuine milage of just over 46k with a comprehesive documented full service history All main dealer with the last one being carried out by A&G Services (well know Subaru specialist in West London)

Previous MOT documents.
Mica Metallic Blue
2 months MOT remaining
6 months tax FRESH DISC TO GO ON AT END OF THIS MONTH AT COST OF £100

All the usual UK features with the addition of the following interesting options from factory:

Prodrive Performance Pack fitted from factory by supplying dealer, this consists of:

Prodrive suspension (Eibach/Bilstien combination)
Prodrive quickshift gearlinkage
Prodrive ECU upgrade
OMP front strut brace

Other rare options:
Full black leather wing back seats and all door cards etc. This was specified from factory and not as an aftermarket addition. Really comfortable and great if you've got kids as any stains can be wiped away.

Electric tilt and slide solid panel sunroof recently greased by Subaru dealer to prevent siezure, it opens and closes perfectly.

Air Con which blows ice cold as it should without any leaks, a sought after option on the UK cars as it was only provided as standard on the imports.

The wheels are the Prodrive Speedline ST2's in 17".

A highly sought after quality wheel both strong and reasonably light weight.

Tyres are 215/45/17 which is the correct size giving the best compromise between road holding and ride comfort and are all evenly worn with plenty of life in them.

I have owned a number of the classic Impreza's over the last 7 years from the highly strung but brilliant imported Type R coupe to this Uk example.

I can honestly say this is probably the most practical and daily usable impreza I have owned.

It feels very tight when driving and unabused due to the low milage and number of owners and the Prodrive suspension is ideal for our UK roads being very comfortable and compliant in daily use, yet firm and sure footed when pushed.

The Prodrive quickshift linkage also give's a lovely feel to the gearchange which has to be appriciated by comparing it to a standard gearchange on a UK Impreza.

First registered owner was a Subaru dealership in Kent (Walldonway), thereafter it was purchased in the year 2000 by a middle aged chinese chap who was a keen but mature Subaru enthusiast.

In the space of 8 years the car had less than 35k miles put on it as the owner only ever used it for very short trips locally and at times had it garaged for months.

I took ownership of the car last August 2008 at a milage of just under 41k and have raised it to just under 46k as I do use it as a daily commute.

I now have an oppurtunity to own a P1 being sold within my family (fathers car!) and am only selling to fund this.

Complete with all spare keys/ origional Subaru alarm fobs

Origional Subaru dealer supplied wallet with booklets/service book/manuals etc.

Origional clear Subaru lense protectors on both front headlights and foglamps.

The car even has the factory standard Philips Subaru badged casette head unit stereo showing it's unabused history, I use and Ipod via the casette adaptor which works out great.

The car is in very good cosmetic condition for it's age, there are some minor parking dents visible which are a common sight on the Impreza's unfortunatly due to there thin gauge bodypanels and careless people in carparks opening up doors aginst them! I have only said this to try and give true picture of the car.

There is no rust or corrosion and the car is unique in the way I honestly believe it has never recieved any paintwork as far as I can tell.

This is evident in the origionality of the trim detail, the under wheel arch gaurds, front wing positions to name a few area's where the fixing clips or nuts and bolts bolts are undisturbed. It's clear the car has never been blown over at the front as is common with cars of this age as the paintwork looks totally origional.

I am very thorough when buying a car generally and the origional bodywork is the main thing that drew me to this example when I bought it last year.

The wing mirrors/side skirts and rear corner skirts are all still in the factory origional black plastic finish and have not been colour
coded, again showing the origionality of the car.

All the indicator lenses are the factory amber and have not been replaced for aftermarket items, again, keeping the origionality of the car.

The car will have the origional factory standard exhuast system with catalyst in place and an STI rear box in place when purhcased by the new owner.

I have a 5 month old Hayward and Scott full stainless steel exhuast system I can provide at an adittional cost should anyone require.

The Cambelt replacement service was carried out at 37k miles being stamped in the book (ahead of the 46k miles recommendation)

Latest service was carried out just after I bought the car in September by an Independent Subaru Specialist I have used for all my Impreza's in the past.

It consisted of a general service with the addition of the following:

Oil replaced with Motul 15/50 (one of the best quality oils at the right viscosity you can buy for the Impreza and as used by the WRC teams.)

All end brake lines before the calipers were upgraded to Goodridge Stainless steel items costing £250 fitted in order to eliminate the spongey brake pedal feel common with the classic UK Impreza's due to the rubber hoses used as standard.

This gives a noticably better and more posotive pedal feel to the brakes and is pound for pound one of the best upgrades to make to any Impreza and maximises the 4-pot calipers potential.

Front brake pads uprated to OE+ Textar items as recommended by Alyn at ASP, these work very well with the Subaru 4-pot calipers in any tempreture and are a great upgrade over the standard Subaru pads. less than 2500 miles on them.

All spark plugs replaced with correct NGK items, many people use lesser manufacturers to save money but these enusre the car runs as it should.

All wheels fully balanced to ensure totally vibration free motorway driving.

A reluctant sale of this unmolested example of a great car, would be nice for it to go to a good home!

I am willing to replace the existing 17" Prodrive Speedline wheels with 16" standard Subaru items to lower the price a little if that suits anyone at the time of sale.

PLEASE NOTE, DEFI GAUGES SHOWN IN PIC ARE NOT INCLUDED IN SALE I'M AFRAID! These will be removed and the origional flap lid re-installed. I can leave the pod in for anyone who wants it though.

Thankyou for veiwing.

I'm happy to travel a little for anyone to veiw the car and am based in Harrow West London.
