Honda Varadero XL125 - V3
Honda Varadero XL125 – V3 on 03 plate
Blue with 14k miles, FSH and 3 previous owners. Cheap to run, insure and tax (£15 per year).
This is one of the biggest 125’s around and is learner legal making it an ideal first bike / commuter. Bike is in very good condition and has never been dropped, couple of marks that I have included in the pictures. As far as I know (certainly for previous owner and myself) the bike has always been garaged and generally only used in the summer.
MOT’d and Tax’d until June, serviced under 1000 miles ago including new brake pads, discs and battery. I have just (this week) had the fork bushes, seals and oil replaced, a new chain and sprocket and the front brake calliper stripped and rebuilt as it was binding a little. Only other thing I have done is a new clutch cable after it snapped last August.
The bike has a Cat1 alarm installed with installation certificate, however it isn’t working just now, couple of weeks ago the immobiliser decided it didn’t want to go off so ended up having to bypass it.
Both front and rear tyres have plenty of life in them, again pictures included.
I’ve just passed my DAS so will be moving onto a bigger bike but the Varadero has been a great first bike for running around town and getting some road experience. The bike will do 65+ so can easily keep up with traffic and due to the size it has a bit of presence, also made the transition on to bigger bikes easier again due to the size and weight of the bike compared to other 125’s like a CG.
I am based in Glasgow and will be happy to answer any questions, test rides only after full payment as deposit.
