Default Stunning TVR Cerbera 4.5L

This is a beautiful late 1998 (S REG) TVR Cerbera 4.5 AJP Finished in Aston Martin California Sage.

Not to be confused with the normal 4.2L Cerberas. This is a whole different animal with a whopping 420bhp as standard over the 4.2's 360bhp.

These are the standard figures....

Power: 420 hp (313 kW)
Torque: 380 lb·ft (515 N·m) at 4500 rpm
Redline: 7000 rpm
0-60 mph: 3.9 seconds
Top speed: 195mph

In great condition with just a few minor stone chips on the front as you would expect for the moderate amount of miles. There are no faults at all with this car, everything works as it should and it starts and drives perfectly.

There is a massive folder full of history with it, showing everything from new to present day. It had TVR Main Dealer service history to 51,000, (when TVR went bust) and other specialists were used since then. It has just passed its MOT but currently declared Sorn and tucked up for winter.

If you think normal TVR's sound good wait till you hear this one. It has a very expensive de-catted stainless exhaust system fitted which sounds simply unbelievable. It pop's, bangs, and gurgles constantly and sometimes even flames. It comes with the standard cats which can be fitted in under an hour for MOT's or if the wife thinks its too loud.

I've got a little Youtube clip below to give you some idea what it sounds like...

This pipe is the only modification and pushes the power up a little so you can realistically expect it to be around the 450bhp mark and probably 200mph (if you had big enough cahona's to find out).

Other features include the front headlight conversion, massive AP Racing Brakes front and rear, TVR Alloy pedals, motorised Kenwood "hide-face" headunit, CD multiplay, Pioneer speakers.

As you probably already know TVR's aren't the most reliable cars in the world but this is usually because they are kept in the garage for months on end sitting unused. Looking through the history its obvious this one has been used as a main car most of its life so as such is much more reliable as it had all the common faults sorted early on.

Finally one more big plus point. As its now 10 years old you can get classic insurance. I am 33 with 6 points and paid just £298. Not bad for a car faster than most Porsches, Lamborghini's and Ferrari's.

Feel free to make me an offer, I can only say no. But please remember this isn't your average Cerbera.

I have had this car up for £13500 for the last month or so but I wasn't really serious about selling. Now I am and have reduced the price to that which usedcarexpert.co.uk say is the average selling price of these over the last few months.

I might be interested in part ex. Let me know what you have, I can only say no.

£12495 or let me have your best offer.

NOW WILLING TO TAKE £8995 FOR QUICK CASH SALE

Danny

bloody nice cars, I had one of these a few years back... the car was a beast and a handful to drive with any sort of enthusiasm regardless of the weather.... I loved it.

I tell ya what, I'll swap you it for my TSL333 Bug eye

Bump for nice motor

I appreciate the warning Woody but its really not needed. I am normally the one preaching safe driving standards to my members and would hardly do anything wreckless myself.

It may look fast but this is becuase the camera is not exactly what you'd call fixed down. It may sound fast but thats because its a decatted TVR ffs.

In actual fact the clip was almost entirely filmed in first gear so probably between 20-30mph.

Thanks for defending my shameless actions guys.

I have often day dreamed about owning one of these... cant belive how the prices have dropped on them... mmm... dribble... one day soon me thinks!

But one thing that always put me off was that TVR's are notorious for breaking down... British engineering, its just not Japanese is it?!

But good luck with the sale, shes a beast!
