DCCD Kit for 5spd with matching Rear Diff

******* ONLY R160 3.9 rear diff LEFT !!!
I bought this a while ago from Scoobynet with the attention of fitting it to my car, a UK 5spd 01 WRX, but unfortunatlely I need to focus on engine work so its up for sale.

Can I just ask, is this how I would explain.
A system where power is switchable to front and rear with an electronically controlled LSD to apply more power to tires with the grip, which again is changeable?
If so ill check I can get it fitted ok and will take it

the DCCD fitted will mean that you can reduce the power going to the front wheels to make it more rear biased , but it also means if you fit an after market diff controler like the neetronics one I have fitted on my rally car you can lock the diff under braking , and use the switch on the handbrake so when you pull the handbrake up it will open the diff so you can handbrake turn.

Oh right well since I wont like it then.. Thanks for your honest opinion there Ian, I know you would never consider persuading me away for your own ends and are obviously concerned that this would not be the kit for me. What a gent..
So, that answer was great thanks, but still not sure if it will take power from a spinning wheel and apply it to a wheel with traction..

By switching the centre diff rearwards , I find in my car it doesn't understeer so much , it drives more like a rwd car , which is great on tarmac as its easier to get round the corners pushing hard , but in the forests I have it 90% locked as you want more traction , but as your skidding around it doesn't understeer like on tarmac , in the woods you set the car up before entering a bend so dont get the understeer problems as you do on tarmac.

Haha I know you were joking pal. This sounds like a superb bit of kit.
But, as im messing around a bit with getting it sorted everybody else can have a chat with Stuart, looks like its all gonna sell quickly.

Just the Rear Diff left! PMs sent!
For ref, Rear Diff weighs about 23kg, so about 24kg packaged up properly. If it was to be sent by post, expect to pay £31 for delivery by ParcelForce 48. (Insured to £150).

Just seen this, but am I right in thinking that a dccd like this bolts straight onto a uk (05wrx) 5sp gearbox/drivetrain/rear diff..?
I've always fancied having dccd but don't want a 6sp dccd box. Something like this would be the ideal thing for me..
Purely out of interest, what do these usually go for..?

For a newage you would need a Neetronics controller or another device to work, but basically you could unbolt an 04 WRX CTR Diff and bolt on an earlier 5spd DCCD unit. Depending on what drop gears the DCCD would have will depend on what rear diff would be required.
Have seen gearbox with DCCD already attached, stnd controller, thumbwheel and rear diff go for about £1k. Have seen DCCD units by itself go for between £300 and £500 depending on spec/condition. Rear diffs between £100 and £200 depending on spec / condition.
If you plan to track or compete, a DCCD unit would be a sound investment. i was planning to do this but unfortunately I have engine repairs so have had to sell up my stash of parts to fund it. Boo!
