Hey all,
Just looking for opinions on what my car will be worth when finished, bought it as a project and as is always the case with these things, they cost much more than you budgeted for. I'm not bothered about what the car costs me as its an ongoing thing and realise it wont be worth as much as it costs to complete but looking for a rough guide as to what you guys would pay for a car thats had the full treatment just to give an indication that my money isnt totally wasted. Not that I plan on selling it for a good few years after completion.
Its a '99MY UK Impreza with 100k mls on the clock.
This is what I'm going to be doing to it over the next 12 mths-
New API Engine- Circa 400+hp
Forged Pistons
Steel Rods
Bigger Cams
Garrett Turbo
550 or 650 Injectors
Samco Hoses
Induction Kit
ECU-tech remap-Andy Forrest
Front Mount Intercooler
Rebuilt Gearbox-
By reputible company using new genuine parts
Finished with new Exedy clutch.
New front brakes-
AP 8 pot
336mm Godspeed discs
Ferodo pads
Misc-
Roll Cage
Corbeau Bucket seats
Harnesses
Some lightend panels
Interior strip down-weight saving
SS exhaust
Air-con removed
17" anodised wheels of some sort-not decided on which
Full Tein coilover suspension
New Alloy Radiatior
Body work will remain standard looking as possible, I'd like to keep the look of the car the way Subaru intended.

Come on guys I wont hold you to any prices just looking for a guide
Roughly speaking the starting value would be about £2k so whats it worth with after an almost complete rebuild? £5k?
Or is it a better alernative to break the car once I'm done with it?

I doubt anyone on here has a crystal ball. Your asking what the value of a 10 year old car will be in around another half decade. If you haven't already got all the parts, just forget about doing it because it sounds like you are after an investment. Who knows what the future holds for a high emissions vehicle, modified to throw out even more emissions.
Sorry to sound harsh, but there is no other answer, people will be giving you figures for the sake of replying.
