Mitsubishi Lancer GSR Turbo £2295
FOR SALE AT £2295 or poss swap for a wagon, with cash either way
I rescued this car when the previous owner blew the head gasket. It is a Mitsubishi Lancer GSR 1800 Turbo. These were produced alongside the early evo's and share most of the parts with the early evo models. This car has an 1800cc engine turbocharged with a td04 unit. The car has been extensively tuned and modified.
Currently sporting a genuine Evo 3 bodykit and rear spoiler, it is almost indistinguishable from an Evo 3. Performance is amazing from this lightweight car - producing approximately 270 bhp and weighing little over 1000kg, it flies.
The car benefits from having just had a complete top end rebuild following headgasket failure. It is already fitted with forged rods and pistons on the bottom end. Head was skimmed and all genuine mitsubishi parts used in the rebuild - receipts and photo archive available to prove this. Also replaced valve stem seals and carried out a full clean and decoke of valves and ports. Cambelt obviously brand new, along with all the idlers and auxilary belts. Car has done less than 100 miles since top end rebuild so just run in.
Overall car has just gone over 100,000 miles but the first 4 years was in km's in japan so the car will really have cover no more than 80,000 miles.

True 3 inch turbo back exhaust with just a rear slach cut silencer - very loud and spits flames between gearchanges. You can hear the turbo whistling through it. Superb exhaust.
The only bad points I can find is that there are the usual marks associated with a car of this age, and the front splitter needs repainting if you are fussy as the paint is flaking.
This car is in great condition for its age and any inspection is welcome.
Comes with a brand new MOT and 6 months tax.
The only reason for selling is that I need a wagon (preferable) or similar to tow my race car.
