2.5L forged engine
EJ257 Forged Engine.
For sale:
Freshly rebuilt 2.5 forged lump, shrink wrapped and zero miles.
Block halves were cleaned to a shiney finish, new crank, new ACL race bearings, ARP studs and all new seals throughout.
Eagle rods and wiseco pistons were cleaned to a shiney finish, new cosworth stopper head gaskets, cosworth baffle plate, new oil pump and a new timing belt.
STI version 3 heads that have been ported to match the increased bore, heads were also cleaned, new gaskets and seals used throughout.
I have a photographic record of the build for the next owner, looks pretty cool and shows every step of the clean and assembly.
The longblock comes with the baffle plate and sump, heads, water pump, oil pump, lightweight pulleys, modine etc all bolted together ready to drop in, the inlet is a version 1.5 bolted onto Carl Davey tuffnol spacers on new inlet gaskets, the inlet has all the sensors attached. You will need to fit the alternator and power steering pump only although I will supply these.
I will supply a set of version 1.5 fuel rails although to be honest if your planning on busting through 450 odd brake then you will probably have something of a parallel rail system in place.
The engine was originally from Scoobyclinic and was owned by a member on here, was running 480bhp, I then took it over and was running a lowly 430+ bhp at 1.5 bar on a md321T.
The parts for the refresh were bought from Zen and the build was carried out by the same outfit that built Jolly Green Monsters latest 2.35, Mike L.
No expense was spared and time was taken to make sure that everything was correct, the block halves were spotless and everything had a thourough parts wash before assembly.
Unfortunately circumstances are changing and I have decided to go back to a 2.0L build, the building game looks ropey right now.
Happily I also have a bouncing baby boy and my priorities in life have taken a different outlook
I will listen to part ex's on a 2.0L engine, and most other things (the more interesting the better!) however I'm not saying I'll take it!
I am asking for £2850 without part ex or obviously a reduced price dependant on what you have in part ex.

One more thing to stipulate early doors that I just thought about...
I will commence breaking when the majority of the substantial components have confirmed buyers, I wont break the car just because somebody needs a washer

Interested in the:
Whiteline front and rear ARBs
Whiteline anti-lift kit
What diameter are the ARB's and do they come with all the fixings?
How old are both and how many miles have they done?
How much?
Cheers

update:
I have included guide prices, do not comment on them, if you wish to make an offer then please do so.
I will consider certains swaps with standard, suspension, front brakes, rear brakes, standard seats possibly even gearbox and engine actually.

Coilovers
Hey Peanuts,
Definitely interested in the coilovers. Can you let me know how to pay please! Can you also confirm if they are good for a MY UK 99 Classic please?
Thanks,
Edwin.
