Wink

lol, depends what you want to spend, what you can afford to insure etc etc. I went for a 98 WRX STi, because I wanted the extra power over the UK spec Impreza's and because it had a few trick bits that the UK ones dont have. But the insurance is £200 more then a UK one. Your best bet is to look around and have a go in a few of them and see which ones you like, whether you want an import or a UK Scoob?. I bought mine from a dealer so I think I paid a bit more then wht it was worth but then at least I had the warrenty and the come back if anything went wrong. Good luck with finding one mate, but which ever one you go for you wont be dissapointed.

I signed up to a advertising people called car data.co.uk

Basically they said that it had been on their website and they had people phoning up about but because I wasn't a member they couldn't give out any details, so with that I paid the £79.99 like a gullable **** that was 2 weeks again and not one phone call!! I've even dropped the price twice now still nothing what happen to all these buyer after my car? Has any one esle used them and been done over? or are they telling the truth? Where do I stand on this one advise please

Cheers

MikeD

Angry

Cardata have rang me on a few occasions telling me that there's a que of people fighting for my car. I told them I would gladly give them £79 when they send the people round with the cash to buy my car, but they want the money up front. What a rip off!!!!

I have never heard of anyone ever selling a car through cardata, its a bit late for you now, but you should always check on scoobynet before doing anything

don't want your car but car data.........

I paid 'em £60, guess what, that's right nothing. Apparantly they gave my details out to 19 people at the last check. Considering they 'match' your car to buyers requests there were at least 19 people in my area wanting to buy a car like mine but didn't call??????????

Back then £60 was about 2 months advertising in the Autotrader.

When I sell a car now I let them go through all the talk, say I'm really interested make them hang on for ages and then say when do you want to view the car? Make out I'm so dumb I don't understand what the service is they offer, get all uppety 'cos they are not a serious buyer then quite abrutly say 'do you want to buy the car or not?'. When they say no, I simply inform them that if they or a representative of their company call me again ref this car I will report them for harrassment. Now **** off. don't normally hear from them again.

Or the other one I try is - I'm really interestd but you haven't sent a single buyer round from my last advert 2 years ago!!!!!!!

You may get loads of others that are 'local' to you all the same. One guy said they were on commision only if the car was sold, the quicker it sells the bigger their cut. Makes sense but only have their word for it, I imagine commision is based on how many people they sign up not cars they sell.

Sorry for dragging on but I hate them..................
