Default Light Flywheels.

New ACT Prolite XACT flywheels.
Only 4.3 Kg. These are too light for your average daily driver but ideal for competition use.
They represent a work of art and a bargain at £225.

I have this flywheel in my classic, fantastic bit of kit, i have not had any problems with launching at the 1/4 mile, and would recomend it to anyone.

i also remember mine costing alot more than this

Ian : How do you get on with it as a daily driver. Does it not need a little bit of clutch slippage for a smooth drive off in traffic???

I have a 4,6kg flywheel, lightweight other stuff as well like crank pulley and engine internals... The only downfall I have noticed is that the tendency of the 2.0litre to vibrate at low revs / high load is worse. Under around 2000rpm or so if you floor it on high gear the whole car starts shaking.

No problem really with driveoffs or launches or anything else for that matter.

It is nice to know that the light flywheel is not a problem to many people and at £225 and 4.3kg these certainly represent good value for money.
From my own experience I found that once you came below 7-8 kg on the flywheel then while you could launch at that weight around 4500 rpm you were using as much as 6000 rpm with the lighter flywheel and for some people that is jut too brutal.

not really, if i get into my bosses classic, the only difference i notice is that you just need a little less revs to get going, but really hardly any difference.

all i can say is that someone is going to get a bargin here!!
