Here I have up for sale my STI Type R.
Please take time to read this advert carefully, I'm happy to answer any genuine enquiries but I won't be forthcoming to messers.
I bought this car 6 months ago and it turned out to have a dead engine, I've since invested a huge amount of my time and money to get it up to this standard.
The car has a 2.5 conversion and full details are below, only 6k miles on this engine!
Engine details
6k miles on the below engine build..
* 2.5 STI block, this is a new 2.5 bottom end with a better crank than the original engines these cars have (supplied by Lateral Performance brand new)
* P1 cylinder heads (from 45k mile P1)
* Cometic Head Gaskets
* ARP head studs
* Roger Clark Motorsport modified oil pump
* New modine
I fitted this engine complete and added the following modifications new at the time, they have circa 500 miles on them!
* Exedy Paddle clutch
* Exedy lightened flywheel
* Lateral performance modified injectors, flow around 800cc and modified to V spray pattern
* Parallel fuel modification
* Carl Davey fuel rail adaptor
* Walbro fuel pump
* Fuel Lab Fuel pressure regulator and gauge
* re-finished wrinkle red inlet
* TD05-20G Turbo, from Andy Forrest
* 3" Turbo back ss exhaust system inc open neck 3" downpipe
* Front mounted intercooler
* Greddy Type S BOV (in recirc position)
* K&N induction kit
* Apexi Power FC and hand commander
* 3 Port Apexi oost control solenoid
* pfr7b's
* new subaru fuel filter
* new subaru oil filter
* Millers 10w/60 oil
* new MAF sensor
* new Radiator
* new Thermostat
* ported headers and heat wrapped
I had the car mapped by jollygreenmonster at surrey RR and it made 363bhp and 363ftlb of torque at 1.4bar. Peak torque is at 4krpm and over 350ftlb is available at 3500rpm so you can imagine with the type R gearing this makes for an amazingly quick car on the road.
The car also has a very comprehensive sevice history (unlike most) I have a service book dating back to 2001 fully stamped up and invoices to proove work done on the car over the years. I also have a thick folder full of receipts for the car and paperwork for alarm, tracker etc.
A bit about the mundane stuff..
STI V5 Type R
Steel blue Grey
DCCD
CAT 1 alarm/immobiliser
additional seperate immobilser
RAC Trackstar tracker
12 months MOT
tax until end 09/09
80k on clock (but 6k on new engine)
Loads of history and paper work (almost FSH)
The car drives great as you'd imagine, the 2.5 and the 20g make for an awesome road car and the gearing of the Type R seems to tie in perfectly with this setup.
The engine is perfect, sounds like new from cold starts or hot, runs silently, pulls like a train. Also uses no oil or water.
Gearbox operates smoothly and crunch free, DCCD works fine.
Bodywork is in great condition for the age of the car and I give it a wax over today and it looks great, obviously has a few stone chips and the odd age related mark here and there but nothing to stand out, no rust (car was undersealed when it came in by the looks of underneath)
All tyres are almost new and soft compound Bridgestone Playaz mounted on superb condition stock rims!
This car is a true bargain at what I'm offering it for, it owes me a whole lot of money and as I found out doing this type of conversion isn't cheap (well worth it though
) I've had a good look at v5 type r's for sale and with the work I've done and money I've spent it's deffinately a great deal for someone wanting to go this route.
I'm only selling because I don't get time to enjoy it, my mrs is back to work after maternity leave and I come home from work, she goes to work and I'm 'Dad' from then on!

Bump - Seen this car and been in it, it really is a quick car that is very responsive with instant pull and power. This car pulls like a UK classic with TD04 but with shed loads more power.
Sensibly price - Good luck with the sale.
