Default FS: 2000 WRX Type RA WRC Limited Edition

£4,800 - Found a Jeep I like so this really needs to go.

2000 WRX Type RA Limited

Just over 58K on the clock and only 1 owner before me – Every sinlge bill since new including all its tax discs original invoice, etc and registered from new in the UK. Tax March 2010, MOT March 2010.

I purchased the car in March of this year from API. I had intended to keep the car indefinitly but my wife is looking to start her own hair salon and we would rather use cash to fund the venture rather than a business loan. Not interested in PX or offers. I want £5,000 which is a bargain considering I paid alot more only 4 months ago.

Spec as follows:-

Wheels/Suspension

18” Speedline GT1 Lite in Anthracite with 225/40/18 Toyo T1S
Ohlins Road and Track adjustable suspension (bump and rebound together) and custom springs giving a ride height of 350mm (wheel centre to arch)
Theres a total bill for suspension and 4 pot brakes of over £4K alone.
The wheels are scuffed and could do with a refurb. I haven't done this because I've been after a set of 17s.

Exterior

Morrette twin headlight conversion (colour coded) with uprated bulbs
Crystal front and side indicator lenses with clear bulbs
Front vents colour coded
Type RA Mudflaps
One point to make to be honest, the drivers side front wing has been re-sprayed. You can't see it from the outside but around the bolt holes has been sprayed which they aren't from the factory. No idea why, forgot to ask 1st owner and certainly nothing serious.

Engine

VF29 turbo
EcuTek remap by Bob Rawle - Mapped for V-Power
Complete Scoobysport (downpipe, up pipe, centre section and back box)
Scoobymania inlet pipe and K&N filter
Samco hoses throughout
Flowed exhaust headers
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
SX Fuel Regulator
Uprated Oil Pump
Forge Recirc Dump Valve
New MAF Sensor April 2009

The engine received a partial rebuild at 20K/2003 due to metal filings found in the oil on a service - this was confirmed by the previous owner who is on SNet.

Other Bits

PSi3 Data monitor - The VFD one plugs into ODB and reads back engine info.
Standard RA Limited interior (blue front seats, black rear)
Nakamichi CD Player
Full Climate Control, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors

The car has only done 8K in the last 2 years and I've done less than 1100 since I've had it. Only used on dry days and if its too hot I tend not to use it. Its going for a service next week (my usual chap is ex-prodrive and they only service road goings Imprezas as the main line of work is rally prep) I'm still looking at the odd mod I think the car could benefit from - namely an FMIC and mapped to suit and may or not have this fitted depending if anyone takes a genuine interest.

You'll make me blush mate!

Drove the car to Cardiff and back today on the basis that if it does go best I actually get some use out of it. The motorway bit is boring but the last A road to home is good drive and even better with a little traffic

Just to add, when the rebuild was carried out, a modified oil pump was fitted.

I think its last major was Jul07 - plugs/belts etc. API bough the car off the previous owner in Nov07 and I bought it Mar09. From the 07 service to now its done under 8K maybe even less I'll check for sure. There is a gap but the car wasn't used during that time - David used the car until the tax ran out and then stored it.

David said they gave it a pre-sale inspection and found it to be just so. I keep to a 6 month service schedule irrespective of miles and basically hand over the keys and just say whatever it needs just do it - I trust the guy I take my car too completely. I was going to get one done now and then around Xmas time, if the car stays its unlikely to be used at all from say October onwards when the weather gets bad but it will still go there for a check up. It doesn't use oil or do anything untowards. Theres a slight hesitation at about 3K but I've tended to drive around it and having discussed the issue with David at API he said its certainly not doing the car any harm. I've changed the MAF and will have the plugs changed at the next service which might be the cause. Theres a very faint noise from the drivers side front wheel area which I assume is a ARB bush which will be replaced at service - if its an ARB bush and I'm keeping it I'll have a whiteline adjustable fitted. If it selling, I'll just have the bush changed. Whatever it needs it will have.

This is For Sale thread from the original owner

https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...a-limited.html

I don't think the car has passed 58K - I've had it on trip to keep a record of my total miles.

I will take it to the guy I use to service my Imprezas and have everything that needs doing to the car done - on the basis that my asking price is met - assuming a major service bill of what £300-£500? I'd rather keep the car than lose any more. I've put it on ebay at 5.5K because I think offering 5K is too low. I could do with the cash for the salon and I have got a bit bored of the car if I'm honest. However, if I can't get the asking price it can just sit quietly in the garage for a while until my interest in it returns.

Can you tell its a quiet afternoon

Cheers Banny.

I might even go for an S3 if anyone fancied a swap.

Does anyone even fancy making an offer? I thought 5K was quite low considering what it is.
