Oil changes are every 5000 mile using genuine filters and Millers high performance motor oil, new cambelt every 20k
Camber and tracking where laser aligned just before Christmas when new suspension fitted
Brand New Genuine VAG starter motor fitted in October
I bought the car 7 years ago as a standard Mk2 8v GTI with an awful Zender rear spoiler attatched! Over the years it has undergone many changes, first including a 2.0 8v engine, then a G60 engine and now the fire spitting Audi S3 one, which was by the far the best (but most expensive!) modification i ever made. It has been through four sets of suspension till i found the perfect ones, which i have just replaced with the same again (witec Ultra TX), and generally had almost every conceivable part upgraded.

The file for this car fills an entire lever arm box. I actually think i stopped collecting receipts as much a while back as it was just getting too much to store and i was starting to get worried about how much i had actually spent on the car. Since i have owned it, i would estimate i have spent in the region of 12-15K. There has never been an expense spared, when something needed doing, it got done, with the most expensive and best parts, ive always used genuine VW parts when uprated ones have not been available.

Tax Is up in August, and the MOT runs out Febuary 2010. Please read all of this through before contacting me, I have no time for tyre kickers and time wasters, so if your looking for an excellent 20v Golf for good money, youve found it, if not , go and buy a shed that youll spend a fortune doing up!

This car was, and still is my pride and joy. Ive spent untold countless hours of wrench time on her and if i included labour into the amount of money ive spent, we could be nearing 20k plus. Oh and shes called Mia
The car is almost 20 years old though, so it isn’t perfect! The drive and actual motoring of the car is second to none, perfect around town, a great motorway cruiser with the long G60 fifth gear and corners like its on rails. My own personal quarm is that the paintwork isnt concours standard. The drivers door has a small shopping troller dent, small patch of rust is appearing round the rear arch and drivers sill (usual place) and a few scatches here and there, the bonnet has stone chips and a couple of dents and the front grill does need repainting. The bumpers are in reasonable condition, but with a few scuffs. I think though, im massive perfectionist when it comes to this car, and to most, you probably wouldn’t even notice these things but i want to be completely honest, it isnt in showcar condition bodywise.

I am in no rush to sell, but time our tough, I now own a Scooby Type R to try something new and currently loving it! so im not interested in Part Exchanges unless you have a Mk5 GT TDI in Grey or Black with Leather, Xenons and a DSG box (for my dad!). Im not interested in silly offers either. I feel, allowing the engine conversion and all the extras done to the engine would set you back the asking price alone, its a very reasonable price!

Car is located at my dads on the Wirral. I am in absolutely no rush to sell, and i wouldnt mind keeping her

£5500

Have seen this on PH. I have been looking for a 20vt mk2 or Rado, once i flog my P1. Can i ask why you never used the cable change 6 speed box, i had a Cupra R engine and 6 speed box in my MK1 Caddy and found it deffo the best box after trying a g60 and diesel box. Lovely car though all the same and still the best looking golf ever, the mk2

Thanks for the comments fellas...Big Fud youve got PM dude...as for the box, the G60 box was completely reconditioned when i bought it, so it was worth it! and with the long 5th (equivalent to the 6th anyway on the Cupra box) it was great for motorway driving
