Sti V4 engine parts...
A month ago, the head gasket went on this engine (problem with radiator led to engine overheating).
Anyway, I've got a replacement engine going into the car. Once my car is up and running, then the old engine parts will be available.
This is just a heads up, incase anyone is interested.
Engine history highlights
==================
The engine had done 125K before this head gasket problem.
Back in 2002 at 45K, it had the a big end failure. A "no expense spared" repair. I even found the old thread on the matter
https://www.scoobynet.com/drivetrain...breakdown.html
That's it for now, as the parts become available I'll update the thread.

Not being mechanically savvy, I'm not sure what damage a "head gasket" failure may cause to an engine, so can't comment on the condition of parts, yet....
But I will add that before this problem, the engine was always serviced and looked after.
Priority is this:
1) get my car up and running with the replacement engine + any part needed from the old.
2) dismantle old engine, assess condition of parts, price and update this thread.
I don't think it will be long before action 2) happens. But for now, this thread will probably go quiet.
Also, apart from the rebuild at 40K which was done by a very good Subaru garage, the engine has not been modified, so it's all Subaru's original parts in there.
Finally, the engine is in Kent.
