Omega 2.0 GLS

Omega 2.0 GLS
Here we have for sale my wife's Omega 2.0 GLS in Racing Gold. It saddens me to have to let it go but we don't need such a big car now as the kids don't need push chairs and that stuff any more! It was bought from a Scoobynetter 3 years ago and it's been brilliant.
It has full service history, mainly from Vauxhall Mandella. I have the print outs/receipts to go with it. I bought the car in November 2006 and it's been a real pleasure to drive ever since. The heater valve was replaced recently, which is a common problem apparently, so that's done. The air con has just been recharged so that's now icy cold when you need it to be The spare wheel is brand new and the tyres are Pirelli and Goodyears with plenty of tread. The 2.0 Ecotec engine pulls well with a full 136BHP that can waft you down the autobahn at 100mph, in relative silence and it starts first turn and not a hint of smoke, rattles or vibrations. Idle is rock solid and the autobox works perfectly. The alloys are in very good condition (see photo's) and the paintwork is in excellent good condition too with hardly any stone chips at all. The interior has no tears or scuffs on the upholstery and is in very good overall condition - very comfortable too
Features:
Electric windows with one shot up/down on drivers side.
Remote central locking and boot release (which has a seperate button on the remote key fob for the boot).
Electric heated mirrors.
Electric drivers seat.
Dual climate air con. That's right the driver and passenger can have different temp settings. Very swish. All digital and fully working with controllable vents at the back with a cigar lighter for the kids as well
Built in CD/Radio with steering mounted controls and remote dash display. All working.
Smooth auto box with sport and winter modes. Sport makes the changes faster and at peak revs if you wish.
The windows are all tinted with the windscreen being a top tint (I'll remove the Jane and Floyd visor for free).
It has roof mounted map lights for driver and passenger.
Alarm and immobiliser with dead locking.
The sunvisors both have illuminted mirrors under flappage.
The center console has an arm rest with storage for your sun glasses and the glove box is illuminted and cooled by the air con.
The boot is cavernous. So much so that should you accidentally venture in there for some reason and the lid closes on you, there is an internal release handle to get you back out again. No pesky shouting "help, get me out of here" required with this car!
The bad bits:
The last MOT had a high emission reading and a failure on brake pads. After I fixed the brake pads, I returned the car to the MOT station and I warmed the cat properly so then it passed
There's a finger nail sized blister in the paint on the bottom of the rear off side door. Hardly noticeable and easy for someone with a little skill to fix
The original battery has just died and I replaced it with an equivalent (my Subaru battery, as I've got a lightweight replacement) but it's dimensions are slightly different. Still fits OK though.
Overall you would be lucky to find a car in this condition at this age and mileage (118k), which has FSH and mileage record. The MOT was completed in April so there's plenty left. There will be no Tax however, but I do have some Vauxhall service spares to go with the car as a bonus
The price? An amazing £1000
The car can be viewed in Milton Keynes or Hemel Hempstead!
