Right i have for sale a set of 17x8j oz chrono's they are without tyres and are currently in silver but i am respraying them, there are no scuffs or deep kerbings what so ever so in very good condition justs aside from the dodgy spray job from previous owner.
Now all gt-four owners will know just how rare these alloy wheels are, i am looking for £500 and they are going to be professionally powder coated white.
the pic below is how they currently are apart from one wheel which has already been sanded down and another wheel which has been acid dipped, shot blasted and powder coated white.

These are seriously rare wheels ! I have a set in 18" that i'll be selling soon and i'll be asking a similar price without tyres.
Why do people like you have to keep ruining peoples for sale threads ? If you don't agree with the price etc just keep it to yourself

I would agree with the price tho, as they are a little OTT.
I have a set of 18's with rubber in mint condition that I will be selling for £450, 18's are the rare version as you can't buy them anymore, you can still buy original 17 OZ evo's from some over sea suppliers. Damaged one of my 18's and spent months finding another gen, while finding a good load of 17's.
Don't get me wrong these are a great set, but you can't add the cost of 'you' getting them sprayed as thats your choice to do it, not the buyers.
Since they are rare, nice wheels and the best size for a classic scoobie I would say they hold a value of £300 +/- without rubber in good con, as I'd be lucky to get £450 for my 18's and they come with rubber![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hope they sell tho mate, one of my fave sets of wheels for a scoobie.
It will end up one of those topics, where you'll be waiting for the people who love these wheels and will pay the money for them, until then most people won't pay a high price for 17's or 18's as to alot they are just wheels!

unfortunatley you cant buy these wheels any more they were discontinued years ago.
the reason to why these are so rare are that they were a limited optional extra in japan when bought with a gt-four.
A bonus of these wheels is that they have very good clearence on large brake calipers.

I had a set of these on my scoob, which i sold to a mate for £100 (2yrs ago) without rubber and were curbed slightly, and tbh if there as rare now as your saying who will buy a set at that price ? one wrong turn could result a buckled wheeled hence a waste of £500
I certainly wouldn't pay anywhere near that price, far to expensive but if someone if foolish enough to buy them, well thats upto them

Believe me, like I said I have a set of 18's sitting in my garage, I got laughed at selling them at £450 and deleted the topics on a couple of sites.
I damaged one of my alloys and looked into getting it replaced or finding a spare, I could only find a couple of 17's, no 18's were left in supply. They stopped main supply in 2002, so yes I know they are discontinued, just depends where and how hard you look.

the only reason why i am selling them at that price is due to im having them acid dipped, shot blasted and powder coated.
