MY 99 Uk car, Spares or repair.£1500
For sale purely due to lack of "tinkering time" that I used to have for these sort of jobs.
Please note I am not interested in breaking what so ever.
I bought this UK 99 spec car at Christmas with the intention of using it as a road car but never got there.
Its approx 70K on the clock, genuine.
Great starting and running engine
The previous owner had started to strip parts off it in a bid to break it down, hoping to make more money I guess. However, it didn't work out and I bought the car with the following parts missing.
Front bumper
Bonnet
Grill
Steering wheel
Lights
Seats
Brakes
Throttle body and a few sensors etc.
Some interior parts.
Battery
Alarm fob
Side skirts
Hub, drive shafts etc.
Other bits n bobs
These have all now been replaced with genuine items, which were sourced from second hand from the likes of GradeA Subaru, etc.
I managed to get the correct colour coded parts so I didnt need to have any parts painted.
The car is by no means a show room , show n shine example, however it is not suffering from any rust apart from some small paint blemishes on the roof, front right and left above the screen and I think a mark on the rear arch.
The rear side door looks like it has had a kick or rubbed against another bumper perhaps.
Some light scratches over the body, carwash type marks, not key marks or vandalism though.
The front bumper has a mark where the paint has been abused by a high temp power washer I think. Should be seen on one of the piccys.
Bonnet has small dent, could pop out? See piccy
I put another radiator in as the original frame was rotten (only rusted part of the car.
New radiator hoses.
New boost hoses here and there.
I could go on.
To finish the car and return it to the road with an MOT it needs a new bolt on the anti roll bar, NSF.
Geometry set as I have had all the suspension off and replaced it with a low mileage set of STI shocks and springs.
I got the correct MOMO steering wheel with the airbag for the car, however I damaged the clock spring (for airbag and horn operation) when fitting it. Think they are approx 20-30 bucks for a used one.
Some dash bulbs are missing (for some reason!) Indicator,brake etc.
Lambda probe needs connected (downpipe location)
Battery needs clamp fitted
Filled with anti freeze due to me having fitted the replacement radiator.
I have the full service record for the car, which I am sure says the belts have been changed just before the last owner put it off the road.
I have had a look underneath at the brake lines and all are as new. Been bitten by these on older cars that have seen too many winters.
It will come with a load of other bits n bobs, such as spare std suspension that came off. Lights, Airbag control module from an MY 99 V6 STI.
Front seats replaced with fresh STI items.
Its sitting on two gold 5 spokes and two silver MY99 wheels, the car will go with the the remaining wheels of each set, so eight in total.
To sum up, I am wanting to get the car out of the garage now as it has been in there since December.
I am not going to break the car as I dont have the time to do so. I will be off to America again in two or three weeks time and when I get back in November I will only be back for a few weeks again, so no way do I want to be frantically striping and sending parts.

This would be ideal for a track car, money making breaker or donor for rally car etc or if your like me and dont mind about the marks and paint defects then use it as an every day run around.
