305 V8 and Gearbox
Don't know if this will be of any use to anyone, but I have for sale a Chevy 305 Ci V8 Engine mated to a 4 speed Auto box (TH350 I think)
I've just taken it out of my 77 Firebird as I've got a nice 403 Ci lump to go in.
I've driiven about 60 miles on the motorway using this engine back from when I bought the car, it drives fine and shifts through all gears OK. Only thing to note is that the water pump has a leak, which I wasn't told about, subsequently, when I noticed the car getting hot I had to pull over and get recovered - I've driven it a few times since and it starts fine and drive well!
It comes pretty much complete - Starter, Dizzy, Alternator etc...
Pick up only due to weight
£350
Can get some pics if required, but its pretty dirty! Would suit someone wanting to build a power house motor, as the 305's can be built to produce some serious figures!
