Default 1995 V2 STI 555 (needs work) £1500

SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!

CAR IS NOW AVAILABLE TO DRIVE AWAY FOR £1500. (NO OFFERS)

its a 1995 sti v2 555 ltd ed
Covered nearly 86000kms (55000mls), cambelt changed at 76000kms.
had recent service with new iridium plugs, oil, filter etc etc...

I'll get the bad bits out of the way first so u dont waste your time with the rest of the ad.
its chucking water out of the overflow tank and overheating now and then and there is no obvious reason why. it starts fine, idles fine, drives fine, no smoke, coolant system has been flushed through to eliminate airlocks and blockages, no oil in water or water in oil. Temp gauge goes up and down though (all the way to the top sometimes, depending on how the car is driven). i am not driving the car now as it has no MOT (just ran out last week) and i dont want to do anymore damage but u can drive it fine as long as u dont boost, it will then probably overheat.

it failed MOT with the following:
excessive emissions (I went to change the lambda sensor today and it wasnt connected which is obviously one of the reason why it failed. i have a replacement sensor but havent fitted it yet)
2 rear and 1 front cv joint rubber mountings need replacing
os steering rack gaiter split

im starting to lose patience with the coolant issue and dont really have the time or money to get it up to scratch to pass the MOT as im moving house next week. i would love to be able to sort it out now and keep the car but i may have to sell it. so heres the spec:

Engine:
Redtop STI engine (280bhp standard)
HKS Mushroom Filter
Turbosmart supersonic BOV
New Iridium spark plugs
Intercooler water spray (standard on 555’s)

Wheels, Brakes and suspension:
18” Gold Inovit Tarmacs
215/35 18 Nankang tyres
Carbon fibre Front Strut Brace
New front Discs (pads still bedding in)

Exterior:
53c Blue paint work, no rust at all (only on 555’s)
Crystal sidelights, indicators and repeaters
Roof Vent (standard on 555’s)

Interior:
2001 Front and rear seats
HKS Turbo Timer
Greddy Boost gauge in door pillar pod
MP3/USB CD Player
Nardi Torino STI steering wheel (standard on 555’s)
Lockwood white dials
Alloy pedals

Security:
TOAD Ai606 CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser
Tracker fitted

Iv probably missed stuff so feel free to ask questions.

If ur interested please call or text me on 07973988395, please no time wasters or silly offers. These Ltd Ed 555's, running perfect, are up on most websites for 3k+ at the moment so the 1500 im asking for i think is very cheap for the amount of work it needs. cheers, Mike (Bones)

at 1500 quid its a bargain as it will only cost 800 quid to sort out if it is the head gasket

I love these cars!, all the best bits from the RA, but without the normal day to day compromises ( for me anyway ) and the 555/McRae link is pretty cool to!!

Mine's in my avatar!, had it 7 months now and have loved every minute of it!!
