A great feature is the ability to connect headphones or a speaker to the PLX R500 and you can actually hear any knock inside your car! You can also monitor the air fuel ratio to ensure your car is not running too lean/rich. The unit comes with the wideband sensor and easily connects to the original knock sensor already fitted to your car, you can add an EGT probe which can be bought cheaply online.
