project uk turbo (facelift)
project car needs to be gone by friday 23rd october cash on collection
here we have a blue facelift saloon on a 1999 s reg totaly standard not messed with full service history 3 owners from new moted no tax needs oil pump as failed on last owner its the late classic shape with full crystal pack and facelift dash it has a tracker and cat 1 alarm new headgaskets,catalyst converter,backbox,comes with sti intercooler with it the reason im selling as i ive purchased a new car and need it gone by this friday 23rd october as my new car arrives
i just checked the ecu as i told the ecu code is E3 its the same as the rb5 also i was told that these phase 2 engines come closed deck and come with 440 injectors

Sorry for this as it maybe silly question but if the oil pump has failed would that not cause enigine problems or possible failure from oil starvation?
How did the owner find out the pump had failed?

So I take it the engine is not running then as if the aa were called out something must of gone wrong to call them out, so possible cloud of smoke or something. Sorry just trying to gauge what would need to be done to get the car back on the road, as a simple £150 oil pump plus fitting and oil change could work out to be a replacement block or rebuild
