for those who are interested... I have diy fitted a kit on a v8 bmw before and can confirm its a fairly easy job but you must be brave! Chopping all the injector wiring and splicing new ones in, identifying suitable inputs for the lpg ecu like tacho and lambda, fitting the pipework and finding room for the vaporiser unit under the bonnet is usually the hardest bit. Fitting the tank is pretty tough too. Oh and chopping a huge hole in the wing is a bit of a heart stopper esp. when the drillbit wanders all over the place! If the kit is a new type injector setup there will be no loss of performance on petrol with a slight reduction on lpg, basically if you want to rag it switch it on petrol. As for economy it is much better but dont believe the manufacturers claims, it will do less mpg on lpg than petrol but because lpg is much cheaper you will travel more miles per £ spent. I put together & fitted my kit for £250 using 2nd hand bits and it took two weekends and a week of evenings.
