FS/PX: 96 Impreza GC8 Type Ra
96 GC8 Impreza type Ra with 99k km (61k miles) on the clock, it has a close ratio group n gearbox, sound proofing and air conditioning removed among other things for weight reduction.
This is the spec all done by APi Warwick and I have a folder full of receipts for over 12k over the last two years:
APi engine rebuild with new crank, pistons and rods 1800+ VAT reciept
Lightened flywheel
Rebuilt and uprated oil pump
TD05 20g sized turbo
Balanced crank, flywheel, pulley assembly, rods and pistons
New complete engine with receipt from APi Warwick 3k miles ago (just run in basically)
Exedy clutch
Full 3" Japspeed exhaust from turbo back
Ported exhaust headers
Ported and polished heads and new valves
Full samco water and boost kit
FMIC (autobahn)
Turbosmart supersonic blow off valve
Simtek ecu (mapped to 350bhp by APi and also a second low boost map as well, ecu has twin map capability)
STi gear linkage
STi suspension
Speedline 17" magnesium 2010 alloys with very good tyres
Bare-metal respray in white (originally white) with receipt for 2k last year
STi front strut-brace
Tracker installed and a clifford concept 300 cat 1 alarm with certificate
GReddy turbo timer
Interior is in very good condition with the exception of the rear bench which has a cigarette burn (I don't smoke, prev owner), the only other thing that needs sorting out is the jap speed limiter.
This car is really quite stupidly quick, the paddle clutch and close ratio take some getting used to if you've never used something similar before.
To finish the car off it needs some uprated brakes and suspension bracing/anti-lift kit...etc. I did have gold brembos on it but tbh they arn't much of an upgrade, so I sold them and put the original brakes back on with a view to get some k-sport, stoptech or second hand AP racing bits on there.
There is currently no MOT and no tax, it's been garaged and unused except to run the engine for 10-20 mins every week or two, prior to it being taken off the road I had just taken it to APi to have it remapped with the low boost setting... on taking it off the trailer disaster struck one of the ramps slipped and it caught the bumper, i'll take a pic tomorrow but it's not as bad as it sounds I guess.
I will fix the bumper, tax for 6 months and MOT for 4k no offers OR you take it away and do the work yourself and make me an offer? I will take px of something sporty, maybe even a turbo 2000 if it's a nice one.
Reason for sale is due to the fact i'm moving abroad otherwise I would keep it, i'm loosing s**t loads of money as it is.

Forgot to mention it's got a tracker installed and a cat 1 alarm with certificate.
If someone offered me a nice turbo 2000 I would be really interested, since that's a car that I could keep here.
