Testing the waters ....selling/breaking accident damaged 52 plate WRX
Testing the waters........
I have a 52 plate wrx with loads of mods which has recently been hit down the side and the insurance company has decided to Cat D it !! Beyond economical repair........
They are paying out and i have decided to buy the car back either to sell on as a repair job or to break for parts. Depending on interest will determine what i do .
So the car is as follows.
2002 52 plate WRX impreza
72 k but had a new engine at 26k from subaru ( before i owned it )
Dark Blue Mica
fitted with the following mods.
Full 3 inch Zero Sports exhaust system, world leaguer
up pipe
Bell mouth decat down pipe
centre section
back box
Leda fully adjustable coilovers
Lower H Brace
18 inch BK type 238 alloys with toyos
prodrive ecu with cert to prove
sti rear spoiler
Cold air induction kit ( wing Mounted )
perrin turbo inlet pipe
Car is running approx 300 bhp but never had it on the rollers.
Damage to the car is ....
front driver door
rear drivers door
front driver wing
dent to rear quarter
Car still runs fine with no other damage except cosmetically
Was thinking of £3500 complete or breaking it for spares ...........car books for 6k as standard according to my insurance company/subaru uk
A few pics for you, car has been touched since accident so is dirty

Thats crazy, i'd sell my 2002 52 plate for about 6k with only 48k and a few mods, better colour and no damage so somethings not right there. good luck

Well i dont know then
all i can say is the insurance company sent out a guy who did his report then came back to me with a costing and a repair bill, they said it was cat d due to the cost of repairs and i got the value they said which was £6k.
I then bought the car back with the view to either repair myself and use for track only, sell on as a going concern or to break.
