I've got one of these and 42mpg is well achievable on a run.....on the motorway cruising at 75/80 it will easily be doing nearer 50mpg.

Good luck with sale, these cars are an absolute dream to drive.

As Andy says, on a motorway run 50-60mpg is the norm. I live and work in Glasgow so all my driving is stop start traffic and the computer is reading 29mpg just now and I use every foot pound of torque that the car offers ;-)

I'd suggest that the 330d returning 12.5mpg had a hole in the fuel tank! :-)

One of my mates had a 330d Sport until about 6 months ago (swapped it for a 120d for some reason!!) but he was always challenging himself to break the 50mph based on his normal commute to work run, which he managed from time to time, although it normally hovered around the 48.5 to 49.5 mpg's unless he got a good motorway run in to nudge up the average.

This is pretty good fuel economy if you ask me, especially as he'd had it chipped too.

Nice car. My 320d would get upto 50mpg on a run, so this would be a genuine mid 40's. Don't believe the computer - it's very optimistic! FBTTT

My computer on my 330CD seems to be the other way, i struggle to get it over 33mpg, but the car has been actually doing around 36mpg when i've worked it out.
Think 40's could be done on a motorway run.
