Default Might be SELLING so who might be interested??

Hi guys, I know Ive not been here long but I am probably going to be selling my scooby as I need to get a diesel for work as im doing too many miles and its gonna ruin the car and my bank balance.

2002 52 plate Impreza WRX (bugeye)
49,500 at present ( plus travel until sold)
11 months MOT
6 months tax
2 new rear tyres
Brand new EBC discs all round ( vented, grooved and drilled)
Brand new EBC pads allround ( yellow stuff pads new formula for road use)
I have put on the prodrive rear spoiler ( have standard one too)
I have put on an STI cat back system
I have just bought Prodrive cat back system so can have either or both
I have put the standard dump valve back on ( have bailey one too).

Overall the car is sound, however the car could do with a service soon, I have purchased a NEW BLITZ oil filter and oil for the car, so just needs a few more bits for service. Ita shame but the car doesn't have any history as previous owner moved house and lost everything for 2 of his cars (including this one) but I do know by asking him that it had been serviced at some subaru garages as he phoned around. I do have a spare rear bumper too that comes with the car as the old one could do with changing due to being split just below the top, the spare bumper is same colour but could prob do with a spray. I bought the car with the intention of making it a loverly showcar and so started to spend alot of money on brakes and parts for it to replace tierd ones so if anyone is interested please ask any questions.

I was thinking of advertising it for around £6300 based on others on pistonheads and autotrader, what are your thoughts on this??????

I think you may be a little on the optimistic side with the price. It needs the cambelt doing at 50k which is expensive , and it has no history?

Well cambelt is £200 (been quoted by tread first) and usually people knock you down so thought I might get £6 ish give or take a few hundred.

Hardly, not with 49k on it. Seen damaged ones going for same. and same on pistonheads and autotrader but £500+ more than mine.

TBH I really don't know members tell each other that their scoob isn't worth the asking price...

Surely keeping asking prices up there is what we all want??

This is EXACTLY why I didn't advertise mine on here - to be told a MY95 JDM is only worth blah blah 2K etc etc...nonsense. I got nearly double what member would of said it was worth

Keep in it on PH and best of luck with the sale

Servicing details are all on computer these days ... request print-outs of the Service History from the Garages who carried them out by the previous owner - they may even stamp your book up.

A history will firm the price - without it the buyer will be more than a little reluctant.

Good Luck

no one can put a price on someone elses car unless they have been and viewed etc... i sold my 02 plate bugeye for £5200 6 months ago and it was cat c bought it off scoobyteknix in fleetwood. so you hold out and get what you want for it.

Default Your price

It certainly looks a nice car.

As for the price, I think £6300 is a bit optimistic and I would imagine at that price it would be for sale some time.

I would look more like £5800 max. I would expect to buy a MY02 STI for £6500.

Good luck.
