Also i recently bought a set of Silverstone cut racing slicks from a chap on here, these were 2nd's, but then they were £150 per corner new so it saved me a good wad.
Each to their own mate. To be honest you should ideally replace all four corners at the same time on a 4wd car, so if you had a brand new set of tyres at £100 per corner and after 3mm of wear one tyre let rip you should ideally replace all four..... but would you not source the internet for a replacement with 5mm tread for £60? or replaace all four for £400?
Oh and then their is the dealers that buy and sell cars that just want a cheap replacement.
A car forsale looks better if viewed with part worn Top brand tyres on than brand new budget tyres. I iknow if i look around a car depending on all the other aspects inc looking at the cars history, that if the tyres were budgeted, then so likely is the rest of vehicles requirements, ie cheap engine oil ahhhh !!

I suppose the same goes for second hand brakes. I was once slated on SN after spending a few hundred quid on a remap then asking about used brakes [I learnt my lesson about what to/not say on here]
I have just sold some used Prodrive brakes for £600 but does that make the buyer a ''penny pincher?
Nothing wrong with used parts providing they are fully working/serviceable.

Just to confirm, which F1's are they, the new style or the old V tread?
