A bit like windsurfing only harder 
Smaller directional board sort of like a short surf board and a big kite with inflatable tubes along either edge and ribs through it so it stays in shape & floats !
Looks amazing when someone proficient is doing it - looks bloody tiring otherwise

tis a surf board used with kiting its called kitebooarding
if you want a directional this is the one
v.bouyant also has the ability to move the fins about once proficient
