Default 2.3 forged engine with UK heads.

EJ22 SEMI CLOSED DECK BLOCK BORED OUT 0.40"
WISECO PISTONS,HONE MATCHED
SCAT H BEAM RODS
ARP HEAD STUDS
ARP BIG END BOLTS
ACL BEARINGS
1.6mm COMETIC STEEL HEAD GASKETS

Comes as a short engine (no ancilleries) with UK standard heads.

7000 miles on the rebuild.


STILL FITTED TO THE CAR SO CAN BE SEEN AND HEARD RUNNING.

There was no such engine ie semi closed deck in the 2.2 range!

EJ22T = Closed Deck

EJ22 = Open Deck

all ej22 blocks were closed deck, the ej22t which has oil squirters

Erm, Steve, all EJ22 blocks are open deck, only the EJ22T was closed deck and that came in two versions with oil squirters (as fitted in the USDM late 80's early 90's Legacy Turbo) and without (as fitted in the 22b) the EJ22 was an open deck block from the N/A 2.2 Legacy and early USDM Impreza RS

I thought all were closed and the T version had the oil squirters?

My mistake, it says closed deck on the spec sheet I have.

Does that affect the price??

If you can post up some pics of the block taken from around the crank position sensor or oil filter housing we can probably clear this up pretty quick!
