Perrin Crank Pulley
#3
It was purchased for a MY98 V4 STi, but I understand is will fit 92-05 cars. I am not 100% certain so it may well be worth double checking.
The part code is psp-eng-100 as per the last picture above.
Little bit of text from Perrin...
"Made from 6061T6 aluminum and weighing in at 1.2lbs, the PERRIN pulley is more then 4 lbs lighter then the stock crank pulley. The PERRIN pulley is not under driven and will not affect the life of your engine. The pulley is a redesigned, lighter rendering of the stock crank pulley.Aftermarket, under driven, pulleys are prone to charging and drivability problems from being excessively under driven. The PERRIN Performance lightened crank pulley will have no effect on your cars charging system. The PERRIN Performance pulley achieves power and performance by reducing the rotating mass of the crank assembly. That reduction is effectively the same as removing 100 pounds of weight from your vehicle. The PERRIN Performance pulley will not wear out engine bearings or the oil pump, and will not add any additional vibration or noise"

I have the same pulley on my 2002 Impreza, so I can confirm that it will fit that particular model.
Also you don't need different size belts once fitted. The originals are fine.
Hi Ross btw

Hi mate,
Yes v.well thanks.
Engine not done yet, but to be fair I did ask David to put it at the bottom of his priority list. That way I have the time to buy/save for the other bits needed (turbo, clutch etc)
I was supposed to go and see him today but traffic was so bad it took over an hour to get from junction 4 to 3 on the M3 so I turned around. I'll make a point of going to see him after Easter, I've got some bits to bring up to him like the intake manifold etc, as we both thought it would be best if he did the full install instead of sending me the engine back to do myself.
Hows yours going? Glad to be back in the hot seat

How is the saving going for the other bits? Decided on a turbo yet?
Totally agree that better off letting him do the full install.
Very happy boy, ironing out a couple of minor snags but he is great at looking after you to make sure you are happy with everything. Top bloke.
Crank pulley still available.

In terms of expensive equipment I only need the clutch, Turbo and ECU so its not too bad. I think we achieved our quarterly targets at work so might get a bonus too not quite like a bankers bonus mind
Bit of a hard choice with the turbo, I think it will either be the MD321V or one of Scoobyclinic's new billet turbo's as they look very interesting.

With a bit of luck, by the summer mate.
The cosmetics are done so once the engine is done thats the project complete, then I can just enjoy the car.
Mind you the next project is on the horizon, Caroline has even started getting into it now
