The item is a PIAA driving light / lamp kit fitted to the classic Impreza by Prodrive.
The kit consists of;
A pair of PIAA driving lamps / lights (currently fitted with 55w bulbs)
Two mounting brackets
PIAA external relay
PIAA external power loom
Over ride cable
Intermediate headlamp / light loom
This kit is in good condition and all of the wiring is intact!! There has been NO cutting of any of the wires to remove this from the vehicle.
You will see some discolouration on one of the lamps, this is the only issue with the item.
This, I must hasten to add does not affect it’s operation.
This item was fitted to my Impreza MY00.
These driving lamps have an external wiring loom to that of the lights originally installed on the Impreza. This is due to the current that is drawn from the 130w bulbs that this item uses. As you would expect from an external wiring loom, there is also an external relay for this kit. There is intermediate headlamp loom, which allows the kit to obtain it’s switch feed from the main beams. The ‘override’ cable feed is taken from this and fed to the foglight switch inside the car, when it is ‘switched’ it provides the feed to turn on the driving lamps.
