I've not had the car long, but since I bought it, I've bought an uprated 6-spd Exedy Clutch and Lightened Flywheel from Lateral Performance and had it fitted at Steve Whitson @ SW Motorsport. While it was in, they commented on how clean this car is underneath, which tallys up with the low mileage of the car.

The only bad points I can think of are a few (5 or 6 tops) stone chips and the front splitter could do with a re-paint due to a small scuff that was there since I bought it.

It also has a private registration which is NOT included and will have to be removed before V5 is signed into new owners name.

Everything else on the car is brilliant, looks great, pulls strong, uses zero water or oil, no rust, makes a lovely sound and puts a massive smile on your face.

I'll have to double check the folder of paperwork, but I think its got a month or so MOT left to run.. so I will put a fresh 12 months MOT on it for the new owner.

I flew to London to buy this car, and haven't regretted that decision once, its my 6th Impreza and its a brilliant combination of Classic/Newage bits. Its also the best Impreza on fuel that I've ever owned too, on the motorway from England when I bought the car sitting at 70(ish..), the car managed to return just over 330 miles to a tank, which is brilliant for this type of car and level of performance!!

Hard to price something like this, but I've been looking for the past 6 months and you couldn't buy one of these cars as standard in the same condition as mine for much less than £4500........ sooo, due to the mileage, condition, options, mods, over £1000 I spent on a clutch and uprated brakes all round a fortnight ago... I'm after £6000.

Here are some pictures of the car:

Genuine people only please.

Cheers,
Grant

Thanks guys, its a great car... I'll guarantee the first genuine buyer to view will take it, I had a return ticket to fly home if it wasn't as described when I went to London for it, but once I saw the car and drove it... there was no doubt that I was buying it.

Lee, I'm 99% sure it was done at factory order. The car is a very high OEM spec, with sunroof, a/c, prodrive bits and bobs and I think the leather was ordered at the same time... it is nice and a wee bit different to the usual interiors available.

Cheers,
Grant

leathers do look oem, I know I had the option when I ordered mine. I think it was a £1.5k option for the two tone leather.

Thanks for the info mate, certainly wouldn't surprise me if that box was ticked too... I don't have the original bill of sale, but this must have been a bloody expensive Impreza Turbo when it was shiny and new in 2000.

Yeah there has been a reasonable amount of interest in this so far, but nothing concerete yet.. to be honest, as soon as someone genuine views the car I have no doubt that it'll be sold. Its that good.

Grant

£6k seems a right bargain for a well modded low mileage classic

Yea the car stands me at more than the asking price but to be honest, you never make cash back on cars... for example there is a receipt from APi for the 6-speed conversion which is over £3000 on its own, which shows what sort of cash has been spent on this car.

Got someone coming to have a preliminary viewing of the car on Thursday evening (he's very keen on a P1, but wants to view mine as its such good value) so I'll see how things go and update the thread accordingly.

Cheers,
Grant

Must make for a great road car, and with the 6 speed is a great platform for more power or just security that the drivetrain will hold the current power all day long. I was very tempted with this myself but distance put me off in the end, and ended up pickup up another saab aero this weekend to get me around for a while. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks buddy, its a perfect base for some further mods though... and you could spec it exactly how you wished if you got it just now!!

It really is a brilliant road car Rob, I love the performance, but to be honest.. I'd forgotten how good a standard UK Turbo handles on lumpy, bumpy british country roads. There is no crashing or fidgety ride like I've felt with scoobs on coilovers, this is an immense package and the only reason its going is that I don't want to use it to commute and certainly don't want to leave it in public car parks and risk getting it ding'd or scratched.

If I wasn't on a mission to get on the property ladder then it'd be staying and I'd spend out on something nice and comfy to commute in and leave the Scoob as a total weekend/nice weather toy.
