Default White 2000 JDM Newage STI for sale 343/339

2000 NEWAGE WHITE JDM STI

This car will be serviced next week then I will be taking viewings if anyone is interested.
FOR SALE.
SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI JDM NEWAGE IMPREZA 2000 IN WHITE.
This car was imported from Japan in early 2007 and has had 3 owners since, myself being the third. I purchased the car in June 2008 and have owned it two years. It has been a fantastic car but unfortunately I only now use it for going to work and the gym so its a bit wasted on me and funds wont allow anymore so it has to go.
Full Spec.
Two litre WRX STI turbo engine. 343/339 with rolling road printout.
Twin scroll turbo.
Full decat turbo back 3"bore.
Walboro 255 lph uprated fuel pump.
Andy Forrest Ecutek Stage 2 remap.
Twin boost set up switchable remap.
NGK PFR 7B Uprated spark plugs.
Genuine HKS Dump Valve.
Manual and automatic waterspray.
Greddy twin side pillar pod gauges.
Brembo 4 pots.
18" Redline/PFF7 spoked alloys in black with red pinstripe.
High level spoiler.
Ht autos lower lip spoiler.
Uk style front grill.
STI Mudflaps.
JDM original tinted windows
The car has just turned 75000 miles and has been serviced regularly but not got full service due to it being an import. The car has always been warmed up and cooled down and always run on Shell V-power and is kept in a garage every night.
Bad points.
The engine management light is constantly on, i had this checked out twice via a mechanic (as i was panicking a bit) and it was plugged it into the laptop and each time i was told the car is fine its just that the de-cat has thrown out the emission readings and as they are different to the original settings it has come up with an error code. The car has been like this two months after i bought it so there is definatly no problem with the engine.
Also there is a bit of a split in the paintwork on the rear spoiler about 4 inches long, nothing too bad but may need a respray at some point if you are a bit of a perfectionist.
Other than that it is a very tidy car for its age....it really does turn a lot of heads and people think its brand new due to all the new cars being in white.
Think thats about covers it. If anyone is interested please dont hesitate to get in touch with me. My number is 07725191262 and my name is Jad. The car is located in east Manchester.
Looking for £7950.

Placing this ad for a very good mate of mine. I know the phrase is a bit of a cliche' but 'you will not be dissapointed'. This car is immaculate.

Management light on

Surely your mate would have a better chance at selling if this is sorted first. Loads of Imprezas have a de-cat and the CEL doesn't glow.

I presume 'twin scroll' to mean JDM single turbo but twin scroll configuration (rather than twin turbo as per Legacy) ?

I thought that JDM bugeyes were all twin scroll turbos anyway ?

It does look a bit expensive for a '2000' car, must be one of the very early ones ?

This is my car, and yes I thought the doubters would come on trying to be negative but I can assure anyone there is not one problem with this car.

I have been driving it almost two years now with the light on and had it checked twice via a specialist and the car got the all clear. The car was even given a compression test and I was told its figures were very strong as good as when the car would would be from leaving the factory so not bad for a ten year old car.

I'm sure if there was a problem I would have found out about it by now...if the car doesnt sell then maybe I will have to consider getting it sorted.

As far as I am aware all jdm's STI's were twin scroll, if I am wrong then someone please let me know for sure and I will edit the add but that is what i have been lead to believe when I was researching the car.

well you are wrong...... only blob eye sti's are twin scroll using a vf37 turbo and spec c using a vf36...

Bug sti JDM used a VF30 Single Scroll/

A conversion actually isn't that hard and is possible of it being done.. A turbo confirmation of wat it is will determine this very quickly...

Legacy STi

I thought to get the twinscroll into a bugeye you had to change the sump which was a bit of a chore....

Not all Newage JDM cars are twinscroll. my 01 JDM car had a VF30 setup when i got it.
I've also broke a few JDM bug's and they had VF30 setups as well.
It was only the blobeye (03 on) JDM cars that has the twinscroll setup.

Nice car by the way good luck with the sale.

There's a bit more to it than that, you need to change the headers, up pipe, down pipe, sump, oil dipstick, oil cooler/modine and you need all the gaskets, brackets and heat shields, obviously the turbo it's self as well.

Just thought the bugeye spec-c is twinscroll. is your car not a spec-c?

What's the applied model code on the vin plate?

Bugeye spec C was single scroll turbo (same turbo as 22B) had roof vent as well

Givaway for the Spec C is also the 12 litre water tank in the boot

Scoobymoz......

Here's a Spec C Bugeye (messed about though) with the roof vent and the radio mast in the a-pillar as it was based on the phase I bodyshell.

Wish it was mine..............

I'm not being negative. It was a positive comment. If you get this sorted your chances of selling will increase 100%. Their will be a reason behind the CEL. It might be nothing to worry about but it's still a CEL nevertheless.

Fair enough!

If you read the original post again you will find that I have already explained what the reason for the CEL is!!!!
