Do you know if the down-pipe will fit on the standard wrx set-up, or would i need the center pipe as well to fit correctly?

Bengo,

i think this will fit straight to the std centre section as it looks the same length of the down cat section and 2nd cat. You'll need to get a remap when you stick it on otherwise it'll start throwing CEL's and overfuel etc
