I have just found out that the engine out of my 1998 wrx import has a closed deck block, it developed a knock from the big ends but was turned off immediately and transported home on the back of a truck so no major damage was done.
I would use this block myself for my rebuild but i have already had the majority of work done to the block from my UK turbo (re-bore, skim etc)
£350 comes complete with inlet, heads, cam pulleys, flywheel etc
But does not come with headers, coil pack or clutch. Although clutch is available at extra cost in another for sale thread.
any questions just ask 07837290065 (preferably collection only)

It couldn't be a closed deck if it's a '98 motor! Who ever you purchased the car from could have put a rebuilt closed deck motor in it! If it turns out to be a closed deck bottom i'm interested!

You can see the 'cross hatching' on the block in a picture, in my thread selling the clutch. (Techniclutch) is the title i think.

Did i apologise - Yes
Did you get all your money back asap - Yes
Would anyone else have sold an item privately for a higher amount (cash) - of course they would!!
I did have it sold through my brother but as you should know this aint a perfect world and the guy let me down so you mite say what goes around comes around. After letting you down i thought it was only fair not to end the ebay auction when there was bids on the item, thats how you won it .......

To be honest Joe, that is a total **** thing to do. If i've told someone it's theirs even if I haven't received a deposit as yet the item is sold! I've been in the situation twice and wished I could have taken the higher amount but that's bad business. We live and we learn!

There was one guy who kept posting stuff without pricing. And then when people would take interest and actually want to buy he would say it's not for sale any longer. He did it 2-3 times until people chewed him out. Children!!
