I've been offered a good deal on a Honda S2000 and need to sell my Civic Type R a.s.a.p.

The car was bought new from (UK) Honda Dealer in Dec. 01 and has covered 7,000 miles. It is Silver and has the optional Type R mat set fitted. I am so impressed with the engine and gearbox of this car which are without doubt the best i've used, that's why i'm going for another VTEC in the S2000. Just want the soft top for the summer!!

My Type R was nearly £17K new in Dec.

Asking Price - £14,750 o.n.o.

Post interest below and i'll mail you pics.

:-)

Try autotrader. Also, ask the garage you bought it from. They might buy it back from you for a good price, IF there's a waiting list for one. then they'll be able to flog it sharpish

Slippy,

Dealer have offered £13,500. I need in excess of £14K to sort the S2000.

I know a few Scooby owners have switched to Type R's and am trying to convert another. If my plan fails then it's Autotrader time.

C'mon guys, dare to be different and try one of the best powerplants EVER created. Nearly 100Bhp per Litre!!!!!!

Good luck

POC - No thanks, been there done that and got the T-Shirt Nice example though.

Bumcrack - I've been offered a Jap. S2000 with lots of tasty tuning/cosmetic parts for a good price. Drop dead gorgeous and sounds like a Ferrari in the VTEC zone.

Richard.S - Thanks for the interest. Basically my car looks the same as the press adverts and the car on last nights "Driven" programme. I am away all weekend but will send you a few pics. on Monday with more detail. Hope this is OK with you.

I would have bought it a couple of days ago, but now i'm looking to spend my cash on an old Cav SRi, and put an induction kit and Max Poo sticker on it and kick *** with allcomers

Sorry, had to be done - good luck with sale

Talking

Just back from a magic weekend in the Cotswolds with the girlfriend. Some mighty fine cars and bikes around yesterday & today including my Type R which was gulping Optimax and enjoying every millilitre.

Topic sunk 3 pages ........ NICE!!! well i guess it is a Subaru site.

MattN - Doesn't have the Air-Con i'm afraid, £1200 option!!! , Type R's are supposed to raw racers though and not weighed down with creature comforts.

Saxo - Tell me about it. I've been told 6 weeks waiting list (UK) and dealers selling 6-7000 mile demo. models for list. I thought i would see more interest than this to be honest as it IS a cracking car.

Sulli - To refresh your ailing memory my friend the CTR out draged the Cav SRi and left Plato & Burt to play racing drivers in the last test. Joe average and the public highway and the Cav would be history.

Any more for any more before plan B is put into operation?

I will be talking with my Honda Dealer tomorrow night to accept his offer of £13,500 for my 5 month old Type R. gutted.

Someone please take this great car off my hands for a more realistic price. Will obviously entertain offers above £13.5K.
