It is 3 inch, should be able to hang safely on 2 hangers, will find out how the hanger needs modifying to fit a newage.

I have a 2.5, how much are 2.5-3 in adaptors? Most importantly, I wouldnt want to cut or weld the box or my exhaust.
I still want it, by the way. Just keen to iron out the small bits!

Its not difficult just a few hangers need re-arranging. any decent exhaust shop such as Powerflow or Longlife will do if for little money, plus they also give life time warranty on there welding.

So if it was welded, where would it join my system? Does this backbox connect to the centre de-res or the second cat delete pipe? Im not sure, it seems a shame to cut it.....

It can join your centre section you have at the moment with a slip on reducer, which can be welded on. I'm sure there is a centre section for the Blitz for sale in Private general section. If i did'nt have a titanium exhaust would have snapped that long time.

Ok we are getting somewhere.........so I wouldnt have to weld or cut the blitz, the centre section would have the slip on reducer welded to it? If so we are back in business! Centre sections are 2 a penny, the back box isnt.

Yes thats right. The only thing the Blitz may need is the hangers re-arranged. They tend to heat & bend or just chop off & weld a new piece. However this does not affect the Blitz box in anyway. Its the centre section that will take all the main chopping & welding.

Hope this helps

Forgot to mention that there is part of the centre section included with the backbox, as I was using it as a slip joint to my centre section. Cheers aki for answering all the questions while I was busy online lol

Banny, do they come in two parts, and how does the slip joint work? What would I need to have done to my centre section/2nd cat delete?

Yes as you can see in the pics right at the bottom the centre section is connected via the flange to the back box.

The only issue you have is that you're running a 2.5" centres section, mine is 3" so I would just slide the slip joint over and using a clap tighten up.

In your case it would need reducing down to 2.5" which is something most exhaust places should be able to do.
