I am about to order a new Golf PD150, and wondered if any one might be interested in the 4 Montreal II 16x6.5” alloys, complete with 205/55 tyres that come as standard? These will be brand new from the factory – basically I am trying to get a better deal on 17” wheels & tyres (currently £1400 
as a factory option).
Will include the full-size steel spare and tyre for £500. Please bear in mind this it will be 12 weeks minimum before these are available.

Hmmmm, might be interested, don't need them but if the price was right we might be tempted - £500 is a bit steep as we could probably get a nice aftermarket set with tyres for a little more. The 16" Subaru sets ex P1 were only £400. Let me know if you're prepared to haggle and I'll mention to my better half - it's her GT TDi 110.

I've asked the dealer what he'll give me back for them, but bear in mind I'm asking £500 for 4 alloys, 1 steel spare, and 5 tyres.
Also bear in mind, if the dealer offers me £400, there's got to be some consideration above that for my time/effort if I am to sell them privately. Otherwise I just won't bother, I'll never see the wheels & tyres but get £400 off the bill for the new car....

Helpme,
it was the wheels that came on the STi5's which Prodrive then replaced with 17" in the process of converting the cars to P1 spec. Subaru UK then sold the 1,000 sets of wheels and tyres for £400 for the set through the dealer network. You can still find the odd set for sale in here.

I have made the relevent enquiries and YES we will have them in 12 weeks time at your asking price. Do you know what make the tyres are by chance? Home email address is as per profile so could you please email me with an expected arrival date etc. I will just have to drive slower for the next 12wks as have only 3mm on the fronts left!
