7 months old - it will be available in a few weeks time, so I am in no huge rush to sell and will wait for a good offer if I have to. I can fit it for you if you are near Edinburgh. Email offers to johnbanks@dsl.pipex.com
I paid £1763 for the package last Autumn. The full package includes a backbox, centre section and intercooler hosing none of which I am selling, so the ECU probably accounts for about £1200 of the cost. Please bear this in mind when considering your offer.

interested, mail me expected price, if reasonable and can be fitted without other goodies will more than likely take off your hands. Also, please let me know why you are taking this off and does it make much performance difference to your car?

I am going for a Tek 3 and some further modifications which will warrant custom remapping of timing and fuelling. I wouldn't bother if I wasn't doing more fairly extensive work on the car as it drives incredibly well at the moment - in a straight line on my first trackday today I was not noticeably losing out to Evos or Skylines.
A PPP with a downpipe is an excellent performance package with a sensible amount of boost and very smooth. Typically 270 BHP + at Power Engineering. 280+ if you then fit a Dawes - the PPP fuel cut is at about 19.3 PSI compared with about 17 PSI on the standard ECU. The PPP ECU for the MY99/00 has remapped fuelling and timing so it is more than just a boost raise - it does go better than the standard ECU at the same boost I believe.
The ECU has enough self adjustment ability to cope with a whole variety of breathing mods. Many run cars at up to 17 PSI or more without the intercooler hose upgrade, but you could buy Samco ones to go with it fairly inexpensively.
Prodrive quote 237 BHP and 258lbft of torque - 10% increase peak power and over 20% increase in midrange performance where you need it.
I have seen people asking £1000 for them before. I would take £800 which I don't think is optimistic - these things are like gold dust. If anyone in Scotland wants to come and try it that can be arranged and we can go for a little drive - I can fit it for you.

Alex it probably would if you could monitor things, but it is not ideal.
See Ecutek's site on the Tek 3 - it is probably more useful if you have a new turbo or extra mods like manifold etc.

Looks pretty good to me ('though having a Tek2 I'm not in the market
)
I think something to remember here is that the PPP ECU will command a real additional value to your car - something that the various other ECU fiddles won't to anything like such an extent. Come 'time to sell' (boo-hoo
), people will shy away from nearly all ECU mods but will jump at a PPP.
Just an opinion
