I am testing the water for a friend who has said plate and is looking to sell it to help finance his own Scooby

Any sensible offers..? I did this once before for him here and had some interest...

hmmmm 5k for sub 333?

no offense, but I dont think the car is expensive enough to have the type of owners who could warrant 5k on a plate.

if it were sub 555 then perhaps closer to 5k might be possible, but i cant see you getting that high given the state of the market

I hear what you are saying and the market is far from good right now to put it politely. He did have an offer previously for 5k though so he is happy to see if anyone comes forward.

Reading other threads though, it isn't too hard to find people who have spent (10's of) thousand's modding their cars, so a plate like this might be worth it for someone who is planning on keeping their car for a while... When they grow up they can put it on the Submarine down the bottom of the garden

The problem for me with a car specific plate is that you always end up selling it with the motor... and that way it's hard to get the value back .. or you split the package which is extra DVLA hassles and extra punter hassles... just my 2cents...
