STI Intercooler

Not sure about it fitting an MY98 - that would presumable have the intercooler set at an angle? It may fir but I wouldn't/couldn't say for sure.
Condition in pretty good, couple of fins bent but nothing too serious - certainly not 'flattened'.

whether it will fit a MY98 is dependant upon whether the MY98 is a phaseII or phaseI engine. If the MY98 already has a BOV mounted onto it's intercooler, an STi5/6 or P1 intercooler will be a direct swap with some gains in charge temps. If the MY98 has a remote BOV i.e. under the intercooler, then an STi4 intercooler will be a straight swap but with no real difference in gains in charge temps.
Best benefit (as with my engine!) is adapting an STi5/6 or P1 phaseII intercooler to fit my 97MY phaseI engine. I had to get a fabricated adapter made up and get the intercooler BOV outlet slotted.....gives very good gains
Jacko.

To tell you the honest truth, I don't know! I never got round to fitting it and has been sat in the box I got it in for ages.
I'll take a peak tonight and get back to you (I know it silver though!).
