Windsurfing is something I would love to get into but as a sport I have tried once as a kid I don't really know if I will like it.
So haven't gone any further than wondering due to cost.
I would also be after a complete set up.
Might be able to coordinate with you Met as I travel between East Yorkshire and Kent every couple of weeks. So could detour via West Yorkshire and London perhaps.
What sort of money are we talking and if I for example collect something for you Met from Gregh, how much for your old one etc..
I wouldn't be after anything fancy just something I could try when I visit the beach a couple of times a year in the summer.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
thanks for the interest, I posted in rec.windsurfing re costs and this is what they said:
I reckon the Tiga would be a great next step for a beginner, it's what my missus used but is also good enough for planing etc in Force 4+ and carve gybes etc.
"probably £100 each tops, £30 per board bag!! (if in good condition)"
Sails £50 each, booms probalby £20 a shot ( masts - £20-£50? )
So how's about a package price of £150 for the Tiga, one sail, one boom and one mast?
regards,
greg

jgm , if you have am email address i can send you a pic, maybe at the weekend. however the board is ideal as a learner, it needs a cleaen, but is a very usable board with 2 sails, mast & 2 booms, to include all ropes etc the board is large, therefore ideal for a learner. i would need £100 for the lot.

Ok guys, piccies of the 2 boards on top of the bags, the booms and all 3 sails here.
As you can see it's all it TOP condition, I always washed the stuff down in clean water when/if I went on the sea. The Tiga has some old sand on it in the piccie, which will just brush off.

I shrunk these down to 640x480 on the webpage, have bigger origionals if you want 'em.

greg

I assume you mean 9th May?
I will be back on here and more active from Tuesday.
I believe I have convinced the wife it is a good idea.
I could well be up for a visit on Wednesday.
I shall talk more on Tuesday, I just have to keep the wife sweet as we are suppose to be saving money to pay bills![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Speak to you then
