Davyboy: FMIC = front mounted intercooler. Replaces the top mount in front of your bulkhead. It positions in front of the radiator behind & below the grill. The engine is supplied with colder air especially when driving hard & this produces more power.

Harvey,

Same as Andy's question, will it fit my STi V5?? And does the FMIC have all of the necessary hoses/ fitting brackets?

M/Y01 complete with all fittings & pipework. Also comes with cold air kit & filter. £1275. No offers. Very different to M/Y 00/99.
Due to a friends misfortune I now have a M/Y99/00 complete with all pipes & clips and also cold air kit & filter. £1200. This was bought for M/Y 99/00 & is marked up as such. It may also fit M/Y 97/98 but as I have never fitted one the question has to be asked of someone more knowledgable. Any difference is not likely to be great.

I would check with topcat re fitting on an earlier car, i seem to remember his my99 kit needed some re-working to get it all to fit on his car.

Its possible but it was fiddly and with extra expense.
